Superb lights

Icicle RGB+W is my second Twinkly product after getting some of their Strings RGB+W ready for Christmas. Just as impressive as the Strings with regards to colours, patterns, brightness and controls. They look well made and you get a very generous amount of leading cable (over 5 metres) before the first icicle which is useful for 'installation-outdoor-power-indoor' setup. On that subject, It's worth noting that the power supply is an 'onboard plug' type and it's quite chunky so won't fit under the weather cover of a typical IP65 rated outdoor socket... so for outdoor power with weather protection, you may need to invest in a weatherproof box to put the power supply and the controlling module in. Downsides? A slight concern with regards to durability as I am going to be placing these outdoors and I have read one or two reviews that have questioned their reliability when used in particular outdoor environments. Time and 'whatever the weather' will tell, but I hope to get a few years use out of these given the expense. The other is that the icicle cables are quite stiff so these icicles don't drop naturally and some are still half coiled up from their packaged state. I don't think it affects the display too much... and maybe they will drop straight in time. Otherwise, I really like these. The patterns available are fun and to be able to create your own is even more so. Pricey, yes... but I think they're worth it.

Just what I wanted for outdoor Christmas lights. Nice bright LEDs on the string. Worked well straight from the box. Works well from the App too to control a big choice of light displays. Well integrated too to my automation system which regularly switches effects. Have already also downloaded some new effects/patterns from the Web.

Brilliant lights for all year.

I already have a few Twinkly items, but this is my first Icicles. Really easy to put up and hook onto my hooks under the bedroom windows. Literally took 15 minutes. They look fantastic, I mean, a lot of people have Icicle lights, which, look like everyone elses, but Twinkly lights for me are worth the extra money for the light design. They do look spectacular and do stand out from those boring icicle lights that everyone else seems to have :-)

I love these. They are so well made and the app does exactly what it should giving you loads of control over your lights.

Brilliant lights,expensive but so worth it if you want lights to last buy these.
