Everything you need (mostly, see comments) for R-12 or R-134a except the can tap.
I am not an A/C expert or even experienced in A/C systems diagnosis and recharging. The gauges were easy to assemble and use. The gauges are in Celsius as others have commented. The gauges come with everything needed for R-134a systems except the can tap, and the kit included an adapter to go from gauge set to the can tap that I purchased seperately (I purchased my R-134a can tap locally, but it is similar to the taps offered on Amazon by WINOMO or the Interdynamics DV-134). The gauge hose fit to the low side of an R-12 system with the R-134a quick coupler removed, but would require an adapter for the high side which I did not need or look into as I was only using it to fill one can into an old truck. I bought a Robinair 10102 side can tap for the R-12 can which worked well and had two different sized fittings, one of which was sized tor the gauges yellow hose which just screwed on and the other fitting on the Robinair side can tap accepts the adapter included in this kit if you wanted to do that for no reason and then screw the yellow hose to the adapter. So for R-12 system the gauges hose connections for the yellow and blue hoses screwed directly on the can tap fitting and the low side fitting in the vehicle. For the R-134a system the provided quick couplers in the kit fit on the high and low connections at the vehicle and the provided adapter in the kit fit to the can tap. The gauges worked properly for the two vehicles that I worked on today and altogether the quality appears to be average or acceptable. With this OrionMotorTech gauge set you can accurately see what is going on for an R-134a system (not for R-12 without the additional purchase of a high side adapter). These gauges are MUCH better for filling R-134a system than the R-134a refrigerant can with a one piece cheap gauge and short hose that is sold to fill systems. Those have always been frustratingly inaccurate in my experience and I think that they are worthless. As far as knowing what you are doing for the diagnosis and fill, accurate information on checking/filling and gauge pressure readings on the internet is not easily found, but this helped me: vehicleairconservices /page/gauge_readings . Start with the vehicle on and A/C off and use the associated pressure chart, I believe that this checks the system overall fill pressure and if it is low overall, probably needs a recharge. Then turn A/C on max with windows down and run vehicle to normal operating temp and use the A/C on chart. There is also some basic diagnosis info included. Use all of this information at your own risk. I’m not an expert as already stated, very much a novice on A/C systems, but I am a graduate level backyard mechanic. Good value for the money in my opinion.

Does what I need for a great price
My evaporator core sprung a leak and after getting a couple of quotes, I decided a DIY fix was in order. This manifold gauge set wasn't my first choice, the other was sold out, but in hindsight this set has 1 ft longer hoses which made the AC work much easier. I had no trouble putting it together or hooking it up, the high side slid right on without any struggle. Seals were all good and I was able to successfully vacuum test my work for 12 hours without any leakage in the system or the gauges/hoses. Recharging the system was a breeze with the can tap adapter (not included!) and I felt much better doing the recharge with the gauges versus the prior work I've done with a single low side can tap and gauge. The high side connector did indeed stick after running the system for 30 minutes while I recharged the system and the root cause is very clearly thermal expansion. If I hook up the system when the system and car are cool, it pops right off without issue. Once the car and the system heat up, the connector and hoses heat up and then it becomes more difficult. In my case, I waited 5 minutes and the quick connect released without much fuss. I'm sure there is an engineering solution to this problem, but for the price I'm ok with waiting a few minutes. It gave me an excuse to have a beer and celebrate a successful AC repair!

Good value for the money; as others have noted, it's not perfect
I had a manifold gauge set sold by NAPA that lasted me about ten years; after a while, the fittings got worn out, the hoses became nicked in spots, and I dropped it which bent one of the gauge faces.... I decided to buy this cheap set instead of repairing my name brand one because apparently I am pretty hard on these. I used it to vacuum and fill a system the other day. The hoses and manifold feel like they are decent quality. The gauge housings are plastic, but the gauges are easy to read and seem to be more or less accurate. As others have noted, the temperature notations are in Celsius, but I don't use those anyway. (I go by the rule that on a car, low side should be 30-35psi and high side should be twice the outside temperature plus 50 PSI). Little caveats: 1. the fittings on the back of the manifold that are supposed to be for storage of the lines are not practical, because they are threaded fittings, not 134a ports. So you'd lose the actual end pieces because you would have to unscrew them in order to use the "storage ports." No big deal, I just don't use them, I wrap it all up and stick it in a cabinet anyway. 2. I did find the high side port to be a little finicky, nowhere near the disaster that other reviews describe, but I did have a little bit of trouble with it. I wear gloves when working with refrigerant, because common sense, but did experience the effect of the high side pressure venting out of the manifold and hose after some considerable effort to disconnect it from the car. I will monitor this and update the review as appropriate. At this point, I would recommend these for a DIYer or light user, with the low price in consideration.

Reasonably priced manifold gauge for home use.
Used these gauges to recharge my HVAC unit with R-22 Freon refrigerant. Everything was in kit and no issues encountered. The needle for the low side blue gauge was just a tiny bit off from idle atmospheric reading not at 0 but not a big deal as you can adjust by taking the clear face cover off and gently turning the flathead adjuster. I didn’t try and just made note of it. Nice for a DIY and not as a professional.

They broke quick but they worked for a little while, worth it for price. Gauges are okay.
As a mechanical engineer in the HVAC field I figured for the price why not put these to the test and see how they hold up. I can tell you I ran these things hard all day, and on more than just r22 and 134a. I tested with a tee and my testo manifold, the gauges are accurate but *** in Celsius*** when I ordered these I was high and wasn't paying attention. Regardless the gauges themselves are all that withstood a month of service in an actual HVAC field. I'll begin with the hoses... At first for cheap as dirt they performed well even operating over 300psi. but after a week or so the gaskets which are rubber not sure why.... Were destroyed. Not able to pull a vacuum at all. The manifold is okay but the sight glass got foggy after a few uses and I was never able to get it completely clean. I'd find myself laughing as the low and high side handles repeatedly broke off in my hand. Super long story short for $20, you'll get a few uses then you can simply trash them. So if you want a disposable set I'd suggest these since they're so cheap if you simply are a diyer that wants to charge your cars ac, and won't mind them breaking after a use or two. If you're a future HVAC tech and you're looking for a starter set, do yourself a favor and buy a testo, field piece, or yellow jacket that's proven to withstand the test of time.

Incorrect Adapter for T-fitting, Celsius gauge not Fahrenheit
Like others have stated the adapter that's provided does not work for the T-can fittings you buy in the store. The threads do not lineup. Youre dead in your tracks. So they need to be more clear that the adapter provided Will not work. The second surprise was the gauges are in Celsius and not Fahrenheit, not a showstopper but a surprise nonetheless. Perhaps I did not realize it when I ordered it so make sure you order the right type you need. Mfg contacted me regarding my two complaints: I needed the Celsius version was my fault as it is stated in the product description- just be sure you see it. As for the adapter to fit a T-fitting on gas can, it does not come with the product rather the product is configured as std 134a threading. T-fittings for those 12 ounce gas cans commonly sold in automotive stores are different For this inconvenience, the mfg gave me a partial refund without asking for it. This company stands behind their product and customer. Additionally, I've been using the gauges for several days now under constant pressure and very happy with the product. Unlike other gauges I purchased in the past from HarborFreight (junk that leaked), these are performing perfecting. Changing my rating from 3 to 5

High pressure coupler stuck, Feron spurt. Emptied freon on both of my car
After fighting to put the high-pressure coupler on for about 10 minutes, I finally got it on to test pressures on both sides. Then the nightmare started, the high-pressure coupler got stuck. No matter how hard I tried, it just stuck. I got a plier and a pry bar, but the tools did not help at all. What made it worse, during the trying, the Freon just spurted out. I am afraid I lost all the Freon. I do not know how to take the coupler off. Update: All my freon on the high-end port discharged, and I had to cut the coupler off. I contacted the seller and I got my refund. For this reason, I changed to three stars. After all, every manufacturer may have some defective products. Update: I got a set of the couplers from eBay, so I can continue to use the gauge. I only put the high-side coupler on, SINCE i thought the low pressure-side coupler is good. Except for the high-side coupler causing the freon sprout on my Ford Fusion, this thing also leaked all freon on my Camry, of which I only used the gauge to test the pressure. At the test point, the low side was 27 psi and high was 175 psi, and the car was ice cold. A week later, the Camry no longer put out cold air anymore. When I take off the gauges, both side ports had air bubbles out. I thought that was normal. Obviously, it is not normal. All freon on my Camry was also gone. In retrospect, there is nothing except the gauge that caused the problems. Thanks for this. I was out four freons. STAY AWAY FROM THIS THING. This thing caused both of my cars run out of freon.

Great set of gauges and has 5 foot hoses.
Back many moons ago I did residential A/C and used Yellow Jacket gauges. I gave them to my son for his work and have not needed gauges until now, to work on my old car's a/c. This set of manifold gauges are just as good for a lot less money. Granted, I will use them only occasionally, not everyday. I have always hated short hoses, and this set comes with 5 foot hoses, just what I like. There is no problem with leakage, they seal fine. The high side adapter is difficult to remove unless I shut off car and wait for the pressures to equalize, which means I am fighting less pressure on the high side. My high side port is not easy to get hold of because of its location and by waiting for the pressure to decrease I can push down on the fitting enough to lift the collar. That is an adapter thing, not the gauges, which work great. Yes I would recommend these gauges to a friend.

Purchased to vacuum and recharge Ram 1500 Air Suspension. Worked perfectly!
Wasn't sure what to expect as I don't normally buy low-cost tools. This one should be used so rarely that I didn't want to spend too much. I did not use the provided quick-couplings as I had already purchased a set of high/low quick couplings that have valve knobs on them. The unit worked perfectly the first time and have used it a number of times since. The valves hold pressure for weeks (I just disconnected it from my nitrogen bottle for storage and it had residual pressure from a month ago) and gauges are accurate enough for my needs. Hoses provided seem to be of decent quality. If you do A/C for a living... spend more on your tools! If you need one of these occasionally... this will do just fine!
