We are so pleased with this gate we ordered a second one! It is very well made, very sturdy, looks nice in our home, easy to install, very detailed instructions, easy to open and close, we could not be happier. We like the fact that it closes on its own if you don’t open it all the way so if you have something in your hands you don’t need to close it, just let it go and it closes on its own. Or if you want to leave it open just open all the way and it stays open. This came with very good instructions. We measured our door way and found our measurement in the chart provided and knew exactly which parts we would need for our size doorway. I can’t speak of how sturdy it would be if a dog or toddler pushed on it as our 30 lb Australian shepherd dogs don’t challenge it at all but just putting my hand on it and shaking it slightly, it is very secure. Such a nice gate! It fit in our hallway that was 48" wide perfectly. I expected it to be more difficult to set up than it was; however, the directions were well written and easy to follow. The fit is great, the bumpers prevent any damage to the walls and are super easy to adjust. It was a great idea to make one side adjustable with several sections, and it made it easy to fill the gap. I especially like the opening mechanism - just a short slide of the button and a slight lift and it swings open in either direction. Also snaps easily back in place when closing. The threshold is a great idea, as well - makes it look mor3e polished! Thanks for making a perfect gate to keep our puppies in the room. Worth every penny it cost.

We purchased two of these baby gates and they have been AMAZING. One of our favorite features is that you don’t have to drill holes in the wall to install them — huge win — but they’re still incredibly sturdy and secure. Our one-year-old constantly pulls and tugs on the gate, and it doesn’t budge. It holds firm without any issues, which gives us so much peace of mind. At the same time, they’re very easy for adults to open and use, so we’re not constantly struggling with a complicated latch. We’ve been so happy with them that I convinced my in-laws to order two for their house as well — and they love them just as much. High, high recommendation for anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-install baby gate!

I will continue to shop this brand baby gate as I just purchased my 3rd cumbor baby gate a couple days ago!!! Forever customer here! They are durable, strong latch, easy to install, can fit any gap easily with the attachments, and i can trust my babys safety! We bought this to keep our new puppy from going upstairs. I shopped around for a long time trying to find a gate within a gate that was not flimsy and cheaply made. This gate is perfect for our needs. I screwed the cups into the drywall on one side (and used the adhesive), and used the adhesive cups on our metal banister pole to secure the other side. The gate and latching mechanism seem very reliable and solid. Assembly and installation was relatively easy. I did over-think/engineer the installation to make sure it was perfectly level (but I also did not install it directly on the floor.) If you are curious, the wall cups are 28.25 inches center apart on each side. The only thing that I could think to improve would be the auto-close feature. If you allow it to auto-close from 5-25 degrees ~ 4 - 8 inches -- it latches itself reasonably without slamming. If you let go with the gate open beyond that, it does slam pretty hard/loud. It does hit hard, but no initial signs that it will break over time -- just from a pessimistic engineering perspective, it sounds like a lot of abrupt energy transfer. I might look into something I can add to it to achieve a softer close. Tl;dr - Sturdy, well-constructed, easy install, aesthetically pleasant, functional, don't let it slam. :-) UPDATE: 3/14/25 Ultimately we ended up having to take it down because our Great Pyrenees and Rottweiler discovered that they can jump over the gate, rendering it more of a nuisance for us. The gate had still been holding up exceptionally to 4 dogs, and 6(2 big, and 4 little) people using it dozens of times a day. I would still recommend it if you don't have creatures that can hop over it. Despite the environment for exceptional abuse, it has withstood everything except the altitude necessary to deter two very large animals. This is one of the few updates I have given to an Amazon review, but for value of money, this one deserved a second kudos. My two dogs mentioned -- both terrible, but we treat them well. (Jk we love them very much, and treat them very poorly). :-)

OMGsh, I should have bought this months ago, too! I had two 42 year old wooden pressure baby gates I was using to keep my 67 lb ACD, now GS puppy, and visiting grandson out of certain rooms. I had to release pressure on these gates, readjusting to get in and out. Every time, it was damaging my door frames and walls. After hours of researching, I decided to buy this Cumbar baby gate to replace my 2 old adjustable wooden baby gates. When I opened the box, felt the metal gate, it screamed quality built and materials. Overall, it was easy to assemble. My entryway was 35"...though the larger extension fit in the space, it raised above the floor baseboards, which would be a tripping hazard. I changed to the smaller extension where it would fit on the floor and in-between the baseboards. The adjustment tightening knobs kept it firm against both sides of the wall. I pushed on it to see if any slippage, did not move. I also used some furniture rubber floor disc's on each adjustment knob as a secondary wall protector. I am using only the pressure option and did not screw in. It is not needed as both dogs and myself found it is very secure. The gate is easy at my old age to slide the gate release button and raise up. A young child could not do it unless taught. The gate swings open inward or outward. It has a stop like a drawer not to hit the wall unless pushed to do so. All I have to do know is open and close the inner gate, no longer damaging my walls/door frame to enter or leave. So convenient! I got the silver gate. I like it so much, I ordered another one to use for my bedroom. It will keep both dogs out, allowing the room to cool per AC technician who advises not to close the door. Unfortunately, it will not keep my cat out. Lol.

My only regret is not buying this brand the first time around!! I cheaped out and bought a less expensive model that was so flimsy. Not only that, my toddler eventually figured out how to open it. So we bit the bullet and ordered this gate. GAME CHANGER. Few things I’m obsessed with: •HIGH quality. Thick bars. Thick pressure screws. 3M stickers to hold “cups” with the option to screw those in. You get what you pay for!! •does not move or bend!!! My other gate buckled a lot under pressure. Not this one! It is SUPER stable especially when you have kids hanging all over it. •the plate/stability ramp at the bottom. My previous gate did not come with that and scratched a small section of my floor. •door swings both ways. It stays open and shuts/clicks when you swing it shut. •the slide button, lift and push. This keeps my 3 young old from opening the gate!
