what are the dimensions?

The sides are approximately 15 1/2" wide by 11" high. The rack has sort if a "V" shape that is 10 1/2" at the top and 7" at the bottom. I hope this helps you.

Could this accommodate vinyl records

My research of vinyl records indicate they came in 2 sizes 10inch and 12 inch (after conversion). The width of this rack (inside the side wood slats) is 12.75 inches approximately-- and so as long as the case size of the 12 inch isn't significantly wider than the record you should be fine. It really is a nice looking and functional rack. Good luck.

How many magazines does it hold?

It can hold quite a bit. If it's rifle and hunting magazines then I would say 30 or so. If it's like Southern Housekeeping & Glamour then about 15
