This is a great product. I've had it now for over a year and it's still holding up extremely well. The color pops and has a nice slight shine to it, and texture feels comfortable and has a nice grip. If anything I would like the edges to go just slightly longer so that as much of the metal as possible is covered but that's not distracting at all. Highly recommend!

5 stars *only* because nobody is giving you a better vinyl for $10. This is not the highest quality, but I definitely recommend buying this even if you're buying a different one, to practice installation. Personally, I'm leaving this on because, while it's not perfect, it will protect the laptop, and that's what I bought it for. Would be nice if it was a perfect fit, but hey, it was 10 bucks and many vinyls cost much more than that.The seller did include 2, which was great because I learned while installing the first one, this stuff stretches VERY easily. Don't jump for joy when you open the package and find 2 sets, because you *will* need them both. I said sets because this comes in 4 pieces, one piece for above the keyboard, one for the palm rest and trackpad, and one for each side. The end result, combined with how easily this stuff stretches, is that it's impossible to get the top and palm sections aligned perfectly; the top will easily stretch to align perfectly with the edges of the laptop (whether you're trying to or not) and the palm rest, being much thicker, will not. Because of this, you need to adjust the alignment of the side pieces, to smooth the transition as much as possible. That brings me to another issue with the sides: They're a bit short. That's not necessarily a bad thing, as if they were too long you'd have to cut them, and they stretch, so you *can* install with no gaps. It doesn't look *horrible*, but it doesn't look great, either; and you're still not gonna get a better vinyl for $10.The adhesive seems to be of decent quality, I think it'll hold well and I don't think it'll leave any staining on the laptop upon removal. After I messed up installing the first one, it did give a bit of a fight during removal, after only being installed for a few minutes, and didn't leave any residue; the adhesive seems to be well bonded to the vinyl. That's a plus, because anyone with OCD is gonna take this thing off sooner, rather than later. Again, still 5 stars because you simply won't find a better vinyl for this price; if you only have $10 to spend on your vinyl, this is the one to get.The seller does seem to have some concern for quality control, as she requested installation photos. It seems as though she may want to ensure that users are able to get decent fit and finish from her vinyls. I'll update this review if I get a response after sending in my photos.Also, several sample swatches were included. If anyone's wondering, the carbon fiber is lightly textured (some are rather deep, making them uncomfortable, this doesn't feel like it would be at all) and the silver dies have a prominent brushed texture to it and feels a bit less stretchy than the others; when I get tired of this one, I'll probably try that one next and leave off the side pieces since the color is pretty close anyway.

The cover comes in 4 parts: a cover for the strip that is above the keyboard, the big bottom area, a mouse trackpad cover, and then two strips for the outside of the speakers.The pros:- Nice black color. Kinda like a grainy, textural matte black.- Finish/texture feels nice- Was mailed a back up of each piece so you get two sets for the price of oneThe cons:- The trackpad loses slight sensitivity with the cover on, which was expected. Moving the cursor around is fine, but I have the touchpad setup to be clickable anywhere for left mouse click (not just a corner click) so there is somewhat lost sensitivity for that.- The fit is ever so slightly off on the bottom wrist guard part and the mouse trackpad. They seem to have been cut just a little small. Every other part fits fine, but the bottom part gave me the most trouble to get on. I had to stretch it just slightly so that it covers as much as it can. As a result, it looks like the mousepad doesn't fit right either. I haven't tried applying the backup they gave me because the bottom part was kinda frustrating to get on, so maybe that one fits better, I don't know.Overall, it's cheap and works. I haven't used any expensive ones (like the Moshi guard), but if you want something that's colorful and to match whatever accessories you have for your Mac, I guess you can't really go wrong with this.

When I got a new 15" Macbook Pro in late 2017, I wanted something to protect where my hands rest on the laptop, and this works perfectly. I was wary about the price since I got something similar to this for my laptop from years ago and paid almost $40 for it, but the quality and size is great. I like how thin it is, and how it just feels like it's part of my laptop now. I don't even notice or feel it. I've been using it for 6 months now and there's been no wear and tear on it at all. I'm only using the bottom part on my laptop, since I didn't see a need to install the other 3 pieces for the sides and top.

I absolutely love this cover. I've gotten a few complements on it, and compared with a plastic laptop casing, the look is unbeatable.
