Amazingly comfortable quality boots
These boots are fantastic. I have had Lowa boots before and always love the quality, but these are by far the most comfortable pair I have owned. They are lightweight and you barely notice that they are on. I have a problem with drop foot and the light weight of these really helps, yet the support is superb. I wear them most days, hiking or not. Despite wearing them non-stop for over 6 months, they still look new. I have worn them in snow and water and my feet have stayed dry. The only "flaw" is that if you are on rougher terrain, you can feel some rocks through the soles. These boots have never given me blisters or raw spots. Wonderful

Terrible!
I was recommended these by a hiking friend who said his entire family wore nothing but this brand and you didn't have to break them in. I'm not sure why they loved them so much because I think they were horrendous. I got terrible blisters and the sole separated from the shoe before I even put 100 miles on them. I will never buy anything from this brand again.

this pair doesn't come in a good quality. The front rubber part fell off and ...
I am a big fan of Lowa boots because I am an active person living in Alaska where rain is very often.Unfortunately, this pair doesn't come in a good quality. The front rubber part fell off and water gets in.I wonder if I can return them to get repaired or something else.

No break-in needed
I can honestly say that these boots were comfortable immediately, without the usual break-in period of most boots. I am usually difficult to fit and was skeptical of buying them online without trying them on first. I was pleasantly surprised and wore them on a 5 mile walk the day I received them. Very light, no stiffness or sore spots. I will be wearing these boots next month on my hiking vacation in Utah!

So far so good. I purchased these a few weeks ago and have taken them on about 15 miles of trail thus far. They are pretty wide and I have wide feet, the last hike I took them on was steep, the first 2 miles in is an elevation gain of over 2000 feet and they were comfortable for the whole trip. The only thing is that they slipped around on my foot a bit with all the steep terrain I was on but I may be able to lace them tighter to help with that issue. Overall so far so good, no blisters or serious discomfort. I got a heck of a deal on them and only paid $85.

Love these boots
Love these boots! Wore them on my climb to Kilimanjaro & then reluctantly gave them away to one of my porters. Great support & grip on the slippery & scree sections & feet didnot get cold on summit. Replaced them soon after I got home. Have had lots of Achilles issues & heel pain but not with these.

Very comfortable at first but fall apart very quickly (and also, not vegan)
I bought these boots probably about seven months ago. Well, although they are synthetic, I read recently that Lowa cannot confirm the origins of their glues (may be animal) so I won't be buying this brand again. I loved these boots when I got them. They run pretty large but I didn't really mind - I prefer too large to small and I like a roomy toe box. They were incredibly comfortable straight out of the box. I never had a single blister the entire time I wore them. No rubbing at all. It was like walking on a cushion. The water proofing performed about as well as you can expect gore-tex to do, which from many boots I've had means it's ok in light rain but fails completely when walking through soaked grass or heavy rain. If you want true waterproofing, get PVC rainboots. My major issue with these boots (besides the fact that they probably aren't actually vegan) is that they have fallen apart worse than almost any other boot I've owned. Granted, I am a scientist that hikes for my job in all sorts of rugged and crappy terrain and I don't really expect most boots to be able to hold up to the level of wear that I put on them. But I generally expect to at least get 1 year out of them. These are going to barely make it one season. The rubber pieces at the front detached from the shoes fairly early on. I was able to glue them back to the shoe but shortly after this happened, tears started appearing in the fabric both in the front and near the ankle on both shoes. Then a piece of the rubber I had glued back on fell off. At this point, I don't know how I'm even still wearing them. I think they'll spontaneously combust the next time I go into the field. It's pretty ridiculous to get such a short amount of wear for a $200 boot but oh well.
