Not sure why a person reviewed not to purchase this because this arrived broken...yes, things can break in transit, or at any point while being made. It happens. Considering this has a 12 month replacement policy, I don't see how that warrents a 1 star review. The packaging is nice and minimal. It arrives in one piece fully assembled with 2 as additional screens, like pictured in the other reviews. We had a glass one that broke so we sprung for something that is more heavy duty. Im so glad we chose this one. The canister piece is one piece of metal. It is not a canister piece that has a spout attached, of that makes sense. Nor is it a cover with an additional insulated cup that is on the inside. Sorry if this is confusing. I'm trying to explain it to the best of my abilities. In a nut shell, there is no place for water to get lodged in. It keeps warm/hot for a good hour? Or, longer. It is slightly warm to the touch but you can hold it by the canister as well as the handle. The handle is attaches well and looks of good quality. I am pretty blown away at the price because it is a great value. The plunger part looks and works beautifully. It also looks nice sitting on the counter whether clean and emptied or full of grounds waiting for me to give it a wash. Sounds silly but I was getring sick of seeing my dirty French press on the counter waiting for my son to nap to be cleaned. I can't wait to take it camping too. I won't be worried about transporting it at all. It can stand up to travel, no problem. Over all, fantastic buy. We will be gifting this to people we know because it's that awesome. Lovely birthday or engagement gift or just for fun.

This is year 4 and it looks like new still. No problems have arisen and still making a great cup of coffee. Great product!

I held off on writing this review because I had to get a replacement. Be careful of the textured paint- it started falling off immediately. In addition to that, make sure to towel dry after washing or the wood handle will get worn out fast- like, really fast. Photos attached were after 2 weeks of careful use for the textured paint model. Why did I give 5 stars? After returning the first one I got a new one with flat paint and it is way more durable. The screen fits tightly and the coffee stays hot. It’s a GREAT and beautifully made French press. Just stay away from the textured paints and towel dry the handle after washing. It really is a 5 star product.

Pros: Great look. It looks amazing in my blue/grey/white/black kitchen color scheme. The wood detailing is super attractive to me and appears to be high quality. Provides additional mesh, which is a big pro. Cons: The handle did crack and break. I was able to repair with glue. Break is hardly noticeable but it is there. Unclear if this was a one off situation or a common problem with this handle design as teak can be a softer word but hardens more over time. Doesn't keep the coffee AS warm as I thought it would. However, I like my coffee lukewarm, I always burn my tongue if it is too hot. Suggestion for production: There is a metal piece through part of the handle. Could be less likely to break if the tang of the metal would extend further into the whole made for the metal piece that attaches the handle to the press.

Brilliant! I bought this because it doesn’t have any plastic that would touch my tea. And if you’re busy like me, the insulation is awesome for keeping the liquid hot until you have time to grab a cup. But honestly, I LOVE the look and feel of this. It pours so smoothly and beautifully. There is a little arrow on the lid so you know which side should line up with the spout to pour. It’s really beautiful. I hope it holds up.

It makes awesome coffee....... the screening works perfectly..... holds the heat of the water.... and best of all.... looks awesome. I love this pot and highly recommend it too. The insulation makes a difference as I let me coffee steep for about 8 minutes. A non insulated version would lose its heat. This one does not. Only negative....... DO NOT place it on a hot burner. The paint/coating will melt. I tried setting it on a glass top burner that had cooled a fair amount and even that was enough to melt the coating just a touch. No big deal. It shouldn't be placed on a burner anyway. But you will not be able to use it for other heating actions... like a tea pot for heating water. This is strictly a fresh press.

Great quality, have now had it for 5 months. Upgraded from a glass one, well, a few, as we seemed to break the glass Atleast once a year and when we were using them was wrapping a dish towel around it to keep the heat in. Weight is pretty good, handle is sturdy and has two filter screens, all at a great value.

I love the look of this French press but it really doesn’t hold up. The wood is not real or is some sort of cheap wood material. The knob on top of ours split within and couple of months and within a year it split completely. The handle surface has worn through and shows black underneath. Meanwhile the paint on the top is chipping away around where the knob was (we replace the knob with real wood ourselves). Functionality is still good and we love that it insulates well but durability is really really poor as are the “wood” materials. It’s easy to clean and lightweight - we replaced a double wall glass French press after we broke two of them and decided glass wasn’t the way to go for us. I also wish it was slightly larger capacity but it keeps me honest and no drinking too much coffee to stay with this size. lol.

Love the looks of this press! Coffee is great and the pot is sturdy. After breaking so many glass carafes I will never go back. The coating has cracked and is falling off. Back to the drawing board will look for one without a coating.

Ich habe die Stempelkanne vor ein paar Wochen gekauft und täglich im Gebrauch. Bin sehr zufrieden damit und sie erfüllt alle Erwartungen, sowohl optisch als auch geschmacklich. Manche Rezensionen bemängeln, dass die Holzteile "zerfleddern". Dieses Problem kann ich nicht bestätigen, allerdings spüle ich die Kanne nur von Hand. Für die Spülmaschine ist diese aufgrund des Holzes ungeeignet. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

I have used this excellent French Press for over a year, great quality, durable and a lovely looking piece in my coffee space! Comes with extra filters and very easy to clean thoroughly!
