Very good drill bit, does the job well
I agree with other reviewers - don't bother using the jig and just use the rill bit itself. It's a very nice bit, cuts the door really well. I used it to cut holes in IKEA doors, because I was using a drawer front as a hinged door. It worked really well. It's quite satisfying to see the layers of particleboard being chewed up. Just remember to remove the buildup of sawdust from the bit every now and then - about three times per hole - and you'll be fine.

Great drill bit. Poor jig
The forstner bit included in this kit is great. Sharp, true and fairly well constructed. The jig lets this kit down though. The usual 'hook it over the edge of the door and slide into position' just doesn't apply here; despite what the images and illustrations would suggest. If you use it in this way, your drilling will be off the edge of the door and the door is ruined. The only way to make the jig of any use is to flip it over (smooth side down), attach a piece of ply to the back side of the fence using the 2 x supplied screws and use the ply as your new fence. This places the jig drill hole 4mm from the edge of the door. Press the forstner bit into the jig hole leaving a pilot mark on the door. Remove the jig and drill the hole utilising the depth gauge to avoid punching through. Not a great design. Can't decide if it's a defect of just unfinished. Anyway, with a little modification the kit worked well.

Does the job Blade very good - not sure how long it will last Jig never used it as measurements not right for my door cabinets - other reviewers mentioned this one too Will keep it. However In my case it was better to buy only blade
