Gurpreet Goes to Gurdwara, by Harman Singh Pandher, is the story of a young Canadian kid with an active imagination and a healthy curiosity. Every Sunday morning, the Singh family goes off to Gurdwara: the Sikh place of worship. But what for? And why does it matter? These are the big questions that Gurpreet โ and children of every religion and culture โ eventually begin to wonder as they try to make sense of their family's beliefs and customs. Join Gurpreet on this educational and entertaining journey as he goes to Gurdwara and sees it, this time, in a whole new light! Review: A lovely book with great illustrations - a much-needed story on diversity and inclusion - "Gurpreet Goes to Gurdwara" is the story of a little boy learning about his own religion and heritage through a day at the Gurdwara (a Sikh temple). My children loved the story and colorful illustrations. It is a great addition to any home or school library. This book is an excellent introduction to the Sikh religion but even more importantly, it teaches us all to be proud of our heritage and traditions, no matter what they are. If our goal is to promote diversity and inclusion for all, then why not start by exposing young children to a great story like this? Review: Great story - My son loves this book, it's a firm favourite at bedtime.

Beautiful Book
What an amazing book! This book teaches children (and adults!) about Sikhi through a cute story accompanied by adorable and charming illustrations. I really wish I grew up with books like this when I was a young Sikh child. I know this book is going to make a great impact on young Sikh children, which is why I bought this book for my younger brother. Representation matters! This is a great addition to anyone's library, especially elementary school libraries!
