I believe that this will be good for you, depending on what you're looking for. I'm in a German class that meets once a week, & purchased this as a supplement. I borrowed it from the library first. I listened to part of CD1 today in my car commuting to work. I would definitely recommend using the book & CDs together, as the CD was primarily in German. This system isn't really geared towards audio learning. So if you want to learn German by listening when you're driving, for example, this won't be for you. No self study product is perfect for learning another language. Just look at the item reviews! And most people will not truly become fluent in any language in 30 days through self study. This is a good resource to get more comfortable navigating in a German speaking country. I like it as a supplement.

This is based on German class being taught by Martina. The conversations are based on current spoken German and are very engaging in how everyone interacts. After each conversation there's a vocabulary list and some exercises. This honestly compares to some much more expensive conversation courses and I found it to be much more interesting.
