I’m 5’6 and waist 34 would have have to get an XXL?

I would say yes. XL is 32-33. They say go up a size if you want a loose fit. I'm a 32 with a little bit of a beer gut and I got the XXL. They were a little big but I kept them as I wanted to wear them right away. So I would say get the XXL as they are tapered so they're tighter towards the bottom.

Do these have a back pocket?

No back pocket!!.. But you will still love the fit..

why don't you guys post the materials this is made out of?

Glad to help you. these joggers are made by 65% Cotton and 35% Elastic fiber
