I do carry it around with me in my bag a lot of places. It's interesting to listen to your heart. But it's really hard to hear in a loud environment you have to be in a quiet place. This stethoscope is okay for general use at home. Review: cheap but useable. - I got this item to listen to my baby inside my pregnant wife. It is cheap and feels as such, the earpieces are very tightly pushed together by the tension of the way the metal piece is formed. this will keep them in your ears but it feels exactly like it is being pushed in from both sides constantly. The overall length is short but again great for the price and the rubber is tough. Overall it works great when you just need something for a few uses, this is not something I would want to use regularly. However this is exactly what I want in a costume item and I will keep it for that. It's price is great for a costume accessory but the quality is much much better than you would get for a similarly priced costume piece.

This stethoscope is okay for the price you get it for.

DOES NOT WORK. - Believe the other reviewers that say the same thing. It does not work.
You can not hear anything with this. It is a complete waist of money. they are selling it purely in hops most people won't have time to bother returning it or for a toy for a child but the majority of kids will know it is supposed to work and if it doesn't they get upset. My very young toddler knows this and doesn't like it because it doesn't work. knew it didn't work before I did. Babies, infants and toddlers as smart. don't under estimate them.

DO NOT BUY THIS
Do not buy this product unless you want a cheap costume accessory. We bought it to hear the dogs' heartbeats and you can't hear anything. We couldn't hear our own heartbeat either. It just doesn't work.
