Will it stick to plywood?

Yes. I have a workbench with a plywood top, and it stuck just fine.

For the people that had to use glue for it to stick to walls better, what kind of glue is best as to not damage the wall when taking it off?

How did the back come off for you? Mine keeps ripping

Is it adjustable and also removable as it states. I have a new house and I don't want to ruin all my cabinets?

Ya, not really easily repositionable. I wouldn’t on new cabinets.
