NOT READER, it’s a usb smartcard with fingersensor in addition to pin.
This is not a windows hello reader. The fingerprint scanner is fused to chip so unlikely to spoof and is used as alternative to on-device-stored pin-code (can be any symbols and long, same as password) to unlock certificate on device. Use of fingerprints is optional, can be used with pin-code only. Works with Google ID, Apple ID, Microsoft Cloud Account, Technically is should be able to work for Windows login, but not as a part of Hello, due to this is NOT a biometric device, but an actual certificate smart-card.

NOT WINDOWS HELLO COMPATIBLE
So I have an older version of this fingerprint reader I've been using for 3yrs on my desktop machine - it works flawlessly but doesn't support Passkey storage function. This is advertised as supporting Passkeys and in fact does support them - however, it can NOT be used for Windows Hello Login or Authentication. In simple terms, you can't login to windows with it or use it for anything other than a ubi-key type passkey device. so you'd need the older one to login to windows AND this one if you wanted that functionality. Absolutley worthless IMHO.

Super happy with this Linux compatible FIDO2 fingerprint key
I picked up the Kensington VeriMark Guard to use across both Windows and Linux, and I'm genuinely impressed with how well it works on both platforms. Setup on Windows was straightforward, and on Linux (Ubuntu 26.04) it worked with the standard libpam-u2f and fido2-tools packages — I was able to configure fingerprint authentication for gdm login, sudo, and SSH with no major issues. The fingerprint recognition is fast and reliable, and the form factor is outstanding — it sits nearly flush in a USB-A port, which is rare for a fingerprint security key. I've also set it up as a passkey on Google and Microsoft accounts, which worked without a hitch. If you're looking for a FIDO2 key with biometric support that works across platforms and is small enough to leave plugged in, this is the one to get. These are a bit pricey, but worth the convenience and portability you can't get from cheaper fingerprint readers. A final note worth sharing is that the entire thing is made of metal and is very sturdy. I was worried that since it sticks out a tiny bit it might snap off but i think it would break my USB port before breaking the key.

Poor UX on macOS
Great form factor for a USB-A device, but poor in operation on macOS. Unlike some other biometric FIDO2 keys with fingerprint readers, this one only lights up a single time on macOS. The other biometric FIDO2 keys that I have will give you three attempts to get the fingerprint correct before falling back to PIN entry mode. This one fails to do that on macOS. You get one attempt, then you have to fuss with unplugging and replugging and convincing your application to check again for the FIDO2 key.

Works with Bank of America's new system.
When plugged in to Windows 10 you will be asked for you Windows pin. Ig you don't have one you may still be asked for one. This was required by Band of American.

No driver for Windows 11 23H2 and later
I bought 2 as a backup, but none worked with Windows 11 23H2. No driver is available and it's detected and just normal USB fido not fingerprint. So it's not a faulty device - but a product itself. Windows Hello will not work and when trying to register to outlook -> it loops between PIN/fingerprint and error. So can't use at all.

Not sure I bought the right thing...
Been unable to make it work with my password banks or even Windows access so far. Enlisting my fingerprints was easy enough, but the integration to my needs is not going well, even after reading quite a bunch online!
