it is Lesite brand, not Switzerland Leister. The heating element is made of imported nickel wire, heat resistance ceramic and silver coated teminal. The lifetime is about one or more years. It has a very thick mica tube to protect it. And each new machine has one more spare heating element in the carry case. All the accesories of Lesite roof welder cannot be compatible with Leister's. Hope it can help you.

WARNING!

Another Leister knock off... good luck. Lesite and Rongter from the Fuzhou factory in China to the USA. These are made to be cheap and wont last.
