Worked when using two
Used this when my Giant Schnauzer needed to be castrated. On it's own it would not have worked, but I had a big one and one size under together on him, and that did the trick brilliantly. The big one was properly blown up, while the smaller one had less air in. It prevented him from getting to the wound that way, but remained comfortable for him. A hard collar would have been dangerous with him, he is extremely strong, he could have injured us or the other dogs, but this allowed for him to stay around us, and he did not try take it off once. Instead he seemed to really love it, using the two rings as a pillow. I think he missed it when the time came to taking it off again!

Might need a one a little larger depending on the dog
Great product. Much better than the traditional cone however my cockapoo could still bend his neck over to get to his stitches. Just a one to think of as you may need a larger one

Alas, not for him.
I had an ear infection and my dastardly foster Ma decreed that I was not allowed to scratch, how rude and inconvenient of her. She fastened this large sized blow up donut around my neck like a manacle to prevent me from getting a claw close to the zone. Despite my pretty small but magnificently handsome stature it didn't quite close without choking me which turned out to be a marvellous opportunity. It look a few seconds and a little contorting but I managed to wriggle a foot into that gap with the intent of wrenching it over my head to freedom. Alas, best laid plans went a little awry, my leg got stuck and wedged under my chin, my head was too big and I didn't take into account my new three legged status so I managed to fall - obviously gracefully - out of the chair with a thump whilst trying to break free. I picked myself up with dignity and stalked, head and tail high, out of the room to formulate a back up escape plan. Ma was in hot pursuit and after several more attempts she decided that I wasn't to be trusted to model such an affront to fashion without causing myself injury and she reluctantly removed it for all time. She did leave it up on the shelf though as a reminder as to what will occur should I attempt to approach my ear with my foot again. Well played Ma. Note from aforementioned foster Ma: I wish I'd caught it on film, his stiff 3 legged affronted stalk was something to behold. However, I couldn't trust him to wear this whilst I'm not watching as he could actually injure himself in his ever more inventive, fully focused, frenzied escape attempts. This was a large size and his neck measurement fell in that parameter but perhaps a larger size would do up better. It'd be a vast donut on him though as he's only knee height. It blew up OK and stayed up despite his struggles so that's a positive. I tried to put the gap at the back but he only had to rub it against the sofa and it spun round. In the past he's worn a raincoat, post-op long sleeves high neck romper suit etc with no complaints, but it appears he has a serious aversion to anything that restricts his neck movement as this did. He couldn't freely move his head side to side without the donut pushing into his shoulders as his neck isn't large dog length so it was pushed up tight behind his jaw and he was left only being able to keep his head rigidly forward when sitting which he really disliked and unfortunately wouldn't attempt to get used to.

Not fit for purpose too large very flimsy material
Extremely large more for a donkey than a Labrador I have labradoodles and there's definitely is not large like I see more fit for donkey or a cow enormous Quality extremely poor I cannot and will not use this it's too large and even if it fitted it's extremely flimsy and I would worry that it would pop. Check plastic and very thin material covering it

Perfect for Megaesophagus
I ordered both the small and medium in the inflatable grey neck cushions. I have two Cavapoo girls with Megaesophagus and these collars have been been a turning point in reducing night time regurgitation from often to none. Both girls run to me when they see the collars picked up, sit and wait for them to be put on, I am sure they’ve both worked out the benefit of them too and must be comfortable as there is no resistance to wearing them. They are easy to put on and take off by the Velcro strap, there are also loops inside the inner part that goes around their neck for collars. There is a zip to remove the soft cover for washing. I won’t use collars indoors and as these neck cushions for me are a life long ongoing need for my girls so they need for strong Velcro was paramount , I’ve found the Velcro to be incredibly strong without the need to even contemplate the back up of collars or buy a different neck cushion 🎉 I did think my 6month old puppy would try and play tug on the strap but she has completely left the girls collars alone. I would definitely recommend these collars if needed for use post surgery or if any sore areas that need to stop access for licking. Winner for us!

Cheap - the fabric band snapped after 1 day of wearing. After sewing back together it continues to snap (not where sewed back). Also doesn’t stop Labrador from licking surgical area after neutering
