Our bars from August 2025 ran out finally so I ordered more and I am sorry to report that the formula seems to have changed. The difference was so marked, that I came back to Amazon to look to see if it was a different brand that I had bought before but alas it seems that the company has just changed its formula. The initial differences are: — it no longer smells like sulfur but has a perfume smell similar to their other products such as the sandalwood bar. —the new soap seems to have a different color swirled into it. Now it is yellow and sort of pink where before it was only yellow. —the new soap is texturally smoother more like the hand soaps they make whereas the old bar had a slightly grittier feel. — the new soap is denser similar to the hand soaps while the old formula was a bit softer. —when I used it to wash, my face had that sort of super dry tight feeling like if I was to use the hand soap on my face. — today, I cannot smell the sulfur on my skin like I could with the previous formulation and I notice no difference in my skin inflammation or pores. I am so hopeful that this company will bring back the old formula. I highly doubt this new one is going to provide the same medicinal benefit the old one had. I looked online and it seems they are doing some rebranding work and perhaps they thought this was an update that needed happening. I hope they see my review and others and go back to the previous way of making it. If you ever get that sort of hot acne… like it’s deep in your skin and feels warm and irritated?or those stupid whiteheads that you pop and they keep coming back? Well, this soap really helps with those sorts of breakouts. I used to have a mid facial mask that had sulfur and I would use it when my skin was just not doing good for a day or two I could smell it on my skin but I kinda like the smell of sulfur so it doesn’t bother me. Then Amazon advertised this sulfur soap to me and for 5 bucks I thought why not. And it’s totally great. I don’t use it daily. I use it as needed and if I’m not feeling super greasy or breaking out, I just use it once or twice a week. For reference, I’m mid forties woman with generally good skin—but oily combo type with hormonal breakouts. I’m back now to buy another bar for my son who is 12 and just told me he is really annoyed by the zits he is getting. I think this, along with the nip and fab glycolic acid pads we have, he should be able to keep his skin from breaking out a bunch. Also, if you have BO that is resistant to deodorant and antiperspirants, I highly recommend the same combo. My teens are a lot less stinky!

This is good for cleaning body to prevent skin disease

Excellent for itchy scalp. Dermatologist could not determine if fungus or bacteria were responsible for itchy bumps that emerge on my scalp after I golf in the hot sun. Various ointment and shampoo prescriptions were ineffective. This soap used daily eliminated the bumps within days. Itch sometimes returns but not as severe as before, and goes away quickly in few days after using this soap. Although it does lose effectiveness when the bar is down to almost gone it is inexpensive enough to make it worthwhile just to throw away and start a new bar.

Okay, so granted, the last time I bought sulfur soap was back in '05 when my kids got scabies after traveling abroad (and my daughter reacted badly to permethrin lotion Rx). Back then, there was a light, pleasant fragrance to it but once dry and warm, skin smelled like a freshly lit match 😂 This stuff smells so nice I had to check the wrapper in the trash (says "sulfur soap" in English) and then check the store on here to make sure (10%). It kind of smells like the Cameo soap my grandma used to used back in the 70s. I mean... I'm dry and warm and it still smells nice, but maybe I just can't smell myself 😂 Decent lather, nice fragrance. Is drying (but sulfur soap is expected to be: no worse than Ivory soap). Great price. I just wish I could read the language 😂

Strong sulfur smell, but that's what you're looking for. Not easy to find something this affordable that can knock out multiple skin issues (fungal infections, mites/mange, etc.) that are resolved with sulfur's help. Used it on myself and my dogs after some time spent in the wilderness where we all came home itchy... and it knocked whatever it was out. Used to buy MSM and would mix with water, then liquid coconut oil, and a fenugreek seed emulsifier.... but this was much easier and cost effective.

Not sure if this really has 10% sulfur because it doesn’t smell like sulfur at all. Product doesn’t list the active ingredient on the box or on the Amazon description. I made the mistake of buying just based on the title so I don’t know. I’ll keep using it but if it doesn’t have sulfur then I won’t reorder.

Good soap it's just drying also it would be better if the company included some natural oils and moisturizer in the soap like coconut oil or olive oil even honey. To help put back moisturizer cause sulfer is very drying and more harsh on the skin than zinc soap. I only buy this to try it. I recommend buying a 1% or 2% zinc bar soap it's milder/less harsh on the skin especially for people with sensitive skin. Also its effectiveness is more stronger than sulfer in my opinion I use the soap for sebboric dermatitis and it pales in comparison to 2% zinc soap bar. I recommend you buy zinc soap from the vanicream brand.

The perfume smell comes though the individual packaging and the air tight back it came with. It is that strong. Also, the ingredients list isn't available anywhere on the package. Not for me.
