Can the arm rests be detached from the chair, our desk height is 74cm, so wanted to check if the armrests can be removed to push chair under the desk,

Given my armrests are 66cm at their highest point they would go under your desk, but yes, the armrest can be detached.

I've read a chair needs many different adjustable parts for the best back support. Does this have those or does the massage function cover them all?

Just reading from the remote control: heat function,5 modes:- pulse, press, wave, auto & normal, then these areas of function:- neck, back, lumber & thigh, all these can be done at high or low intensity - there are also timer function for all these modes. I think the chai is excellent, it works very well on my bad back & I've had it almost a year with no problems. Hope this helps you?
