Leather Upper Jazz Shoe Slip-on for Women and Men's Dance Shoes

I’ve been watching these jazz shoes for quite some time before finally ordering them, so I have a few observations that I think are worth sharing. First, if you happen to wear a size 8½, lucky you! That size has consistently been offered at a noticeably lower price whenever I’ve checked. Unfortunately, I wear a size 7 and paid almost double. Since Amazon pricing can change, obviously check your size when ordering, but the price difference between sizes was significant enough that I think it is worth mentioning. FIT: I ordered my normal size 7 and I’m very glad I did. Dance shoes are one of those things where you will often hear people recommend sizing down for a snugger fit. I would NOT do that with these. In my experience, they fit true to size and are already nicely fitted around the foot. COMFORT: This is probably my favorite thing about them. The genuine leather is soft and pliable rather than stiff, so there really wasn’t an uncomfortable break-in period. They hug the foot comfortably without squeezing it, and they are lightweight enough that I barely notice them during a longer practice. MOVEMENT: The split sole makes a noticeable difference in flexibility. I can point and move my foot naturally, and they slide across the dance floor easily without feeling heavy or cumbersome. For dance practice, that combination of softness and flexibility is exactly what I was hoping for. Because they are leather, I fully expect them to stretch and mold to my foot with continued use. They fit well now, but once they are completely broken in I suspect I may eventually need a very thin footie sock to take up a little extra room. That isn’t a negative for me. I would much rather have a leather dance shoe conform to my foot over time than start out painfully tight because I sized down. QUALITY: The stitching and construction on my pair look good, the elastic keeps the shoe securely on my foot, and the leather feels surprisingly nice and supple. PACKAGING: Don’t expect a shoe box or fancy presentation. They arrive in a simple zippered plastic storage bag. Mine arrived in perfect condition, so this doesn’t bother me at all, but it is something I would want to know if I were buying them as a gift. Overall, I think these are a decent jazz shoe, especially for classes and longer dance practices. They are soft, flexible, lightweight, easy to move in and comfortable from the beginning. My biggest advice to another buyer: order your normal shoe size rather than automatically sizing down, and check the price of your particular size before ordering. So far, I’m very pleased with them. The real test will be how the leather and sole hold up with continued use, and I’ll update my review if my opinion changes.

I got these as a gift for my daughter, who does musical theater, and she absolutely loved them. They’re very comfortable for stage use and work really well for rehearsals and performances. The slip-on design makes them easy to wear, and they feel secure while moving. One thing to keep in mind is that they fit more like a sock and really mold to your foot. If you have slightly wider feet, I would recommend going up a size for a more comfortable fit. When the sizing is right, they feel great and move naturally with you. Overall, a great option for dance or theater use.

The fit was okay, I had to buy 1/2 size larger than my normal size. The shoe itself took a bit of getting used to because the heel and ball had soles but between was flexible. Used for line dancing, they were perfect! I prefer them over sneakers.

I purchased a pair for my oldest daughter last year, and they have held up beautifully. They fit perfectly and are still in great condition. I was so impressed with the quality that I decided to purchase another pair for my younger daughter. I’m just as happy with this purchase! Excellent quality and definitely worth the price!

Excellent fit and function.

These were perfect for dancing at church! Of course you gotta break them in, but they’re pretty comfortable. I usually wear a 9, but after reading reviews, everyone was saying to order a size up, so I ordered a 9.5. They fit perfectly. The color is as described. No rips or tears yet, but will update if anything changes. Definitely recommend and would buy again!

Good enough! I’m sure there are reasons why this is cheap but they seem similar to more expensive shoes I’ve had. I didn’t have the same experience with this brands taps but I feel confident saying these shoes are a good deal. True to size.

I ordered the size listed as appropriate for my foot measurements (I did measure my feet.) It was very tight at first but one they broke in they were very comfortable and very effective for dancing in. However, after only 2 months of use, the seams have started come undone on the bottom side of the left shoe, creating a hole. I dance the follow role, so I am generally pivoting on my right foot and stepping with my left, so I would have expected the right shoe to wear down quicker from all the buzz step swings I'm doing. I dance on normal ballroom dance floors, clean without debris. I would say these are a good cheap option if you are new to dancing and don't know if you want to commit to having specialized dancing shoes, but for anyone who dances regularly, they will not last you very long.

Loved the shoes! I'm not a dancer but I'm wearing them as flats. The seller was super diligent in connecting with me to make sure I understand how to measure. I just based it on the measurement when I put a tape measure to my foot. Since I'm wearing this as an "everyday shoe" I've put in some insoles which have made them a bit tighter but the leather will eventually adjust. Happy with my purchase!

Pretty good quality for the price, these tend to last about 6 months with continuous dancing like my child does.
