APT, UHMW (Ultra-high Molecular Weight) Polyethylene Tape, Resists Abrasion, Impact, for Surface Protection and Friction and Noise Reduction for Lining Sliding Surfaces. (0.5" x 5Yds, 5 Mil UHMW)

This is definitely an off-label use for this product. My brand-new kitchen cabinets are beautiful, except for one glaring design flaw. All storage areas below the counter level have pull-out drawers that operate on ball bearing slides. The problem is that the part of the slide that is mounted to the drawer comes into contact with the cabinet doors when you pull out the drawer. This was causing severe scratching, which I obviously wanted to prevent. Here a picture is worth a thousand words, so check out the pictures of how I protected my cabinet doors with this tape. I used the 10-mil thickness by the way. The tape also comes in 5-mil. It works well unless you deliberately try to gouge the tape. Otherwise, during accidental contact, the tape protects my investment just fine.

I put this on my Kong Duck ascender used for saddle hunting. I put a couple strips in the high pressure contact areas and covered it over with pieces of heat shrink to help hold it in place. I first used the heat shrink by itself but it quickly got chewed up and the ascender started wearing notches into the carabiner. This tape is holding up great so far!

It didn't work for what I had in mind but I'll try again with different parameters. It wasn't the tape, it was a bad design. I did however put a strip on my Bisemyeyer fence where the nylon bumpers ride along the measurement tape. It works really well for that. Also I have a custom aluminum slider for squaring my wood pieces on the belt sander. Two strips of this tape on the bottom and man o man she slides like greased lightning!

This tape is a must update for any dresser with sticky wood drawers. The drawers pull out very smooth and easily now. Very easy to put on the bottom of drawers. Need to measure width of wood and fit perfectly. I used one roll for two dressers. The adhesive is strong and the tape stays in place.

In an older home, built-in drawers weren't designed to accept modern ball-bearing hardware. By applyng this APT polymer tape to the bottom of wooden drawers or top of the rails the drawers slide on, I was able to greatly reduce the effort needed to open or close the drawers. I chose the .5" x 10mil size to provide a smoother cushion and longer life over the 5mil size. The .5" width was a perfect fit for the drawer bottom and rails. The tape backing was easy to separate and the tape adhered strongly to the wood. I recommend not waiting as long as I did to upgrade your built-in drawers. (The arrows show where the tape is applied.)

Polyethylene Tape is great for help with drag on older drawers that slide wood on wood.

The tape was used to provide a slick surface between two pieces of metal pipe. It worked perfectly.

I used it on my sliding screen door to keep rubbing noise down and it worked perfectly.

I needed to replace a nylon type slider in a machine I have and as it’s no longer a stick part I had to improvise. This tape is actually better than the original part. Sticks hard to the metal and gives frictionless movement. It is also flexible enough to take the shape of the runner bar it was attaching to. I’ll find plenty of other uses for this I’m sure

This tape is great for drawers. Previously the wood on wood drawers were hard to pull out generating dust in the process.This tape make pulling tape out effortless and easy while not generating wood dust.Easy to use and install. Just make sure to remove dust and wipe down surfaces before application.

Exactly what I needed for my wooden drawers!

We wanted to use this for drawers that weren't sliding well anymore. The tape works well, but it was the wrong size, so we ended up returning it. I can't comment on how well this tape works over the long term since I didn't use it after all, but it seemed like good quality tape and it was very slippery.
