I purchased the shade "Amythyst". I've seen this clear color changing lip balms for a while, namely the "winx" brand at target and ulta. I think I tried one on at ulta and did fancy it. I wanted to buy one for a friend of mine as a Christmas present because she's been wanting one. I did some browsing and ended up going with this brand (catkin). It had the highest rating per review, and the packaging was very pleasing, we both love Asian dramas, so this Chinese brand seemed fitting. I was skeptical about if it would work, the colors looked light on the picture. Naturally, I was going to try it out first and then repurchase for my friend if it met my expectations. And oh my god it so did. First of all, my skin is of a medium complexion with olive undertones, and this showed up beautifully! The color I chose is a light pinkier color on the picture, but on my lips it's a little darker, literally just by a shade, and maybe more red. I made my sister try it out, her skin is darker than mine, by a shade or 2, she has more of a brown complexion with neutral undertones, and on her, it deposited pink, very much like the picture. I don't know the mechanism behind ph changing technology in makeup, but these are my results. Both of us loved it. Second, I don't wear makeup often, and I've gotten out of the habit of wearing any lip color. I used to wear a lot of dark colors, liquid lipsticks, and regular lipsticks, but it's such a hassle to maintain it throughout the day. So, this is such a suitable, happy medium for me. I get to wear some color on my lips without looking overkill. If it smears, the color doesn't slide all over the place. It's just so pretty and natural-looking, which I'm now obsessed with. Now, in terms of the color payoff and how long it lasts, it's almost like a stain, I notice that even if the shine of the balm goes away, there's still a light color left over. I don't find it to be dramatically buildable, you can definitely reapply, but it looks like the same shade just refreshed. Third, I'm very sensitive to the feeling of stuff on my skin. I don't like lotion, or the feel of oil on my skin, I hate gloss and most chapsticks because they tend to slide all over the place. BUT THIS BAAABBBYYYY, oooo boi ! I am so thrilled to have discovered this brand and product, I actually went on their website to buy an entire set of these. If you have severe dry lips, I don't that this really cater or advertises to those problems, but as far as an every day hydrating lip balm this goes above and beyond. It delivers a very light but nourishing feel with it being to slimy or sticky or dry. Its the goldilocks of balms in my opinion. When I have this on, I don't feel tempted to take it off like I do with others because it's just that comfortable. You don't feel it on your lips but it's there. If you've been looking to buy a clear color changing lip product, I highly suggest going with this brand. It's beautiful both in deposit and packaging; it has a magnetic closure which just feels very luxe, secure and durable. The artwork is just gorgeous, it's effective at delivering a nourishing and comfortable layer on the lips along with sporting a beautiful natural color :)

Leaves lips feeling soft and moisturized. Not too greasy. Color is subtle but definitely noticeable. The packaging is so cute, I almost didn’t want to throw away the box! I also love the case, it’s pretty but sturdy, and the lid is magnetized which gives it an elevated touch. I chose the color “sunflower” and loved it so much I also ordered “fairy” which is basically the same color but with added glitter

My wife got me to try this CATKIN color-changing lip balm, and I actually love it! She mentioned that it keeps her lips soft and smooth, and the color that shows up looks really natural. The packaging feels fancy too and definitely nicer than most lip balms she used. Only thing is the shade can get a little bright if you layer it too much, but otherwise it’s a great product.

It does its job. The packaging is so pretty I love how it has the magnetic closer for the top. However, it does smell like hard plastic and the glitters are randomly replaced so when you do get to that part, you get random pieces on your lips and people tend to ask what you have on your lips? The color change is very subtle which I love, but it is a love-hate relationship with this product for the price. I can’t complain. It’s so cute though.

I've been using this brand for about 2 years. The colors are gorgeous and fun. The lipstick tube is sturdy and magnetic so the lid stays attached nmw. I am also addicted to chapstick, but this lipstick feels and hydrates just like it. The color I'm showing is mermaid.

While this lip balm does not change color once applied, it still feels amazing on my lips. It keeps my lips hydrated, is long lasting and soft.

Hab direkt noch einen für meine beste Freundin gekauft. Hat einen ganz zarten "PH-Farbeffekt". Fühlt sich einfach nur schön an. Glänzt nicht übermäßig und macht die Lippen geschmeidig. Wie bei allen anderen Produkten von dieser Firma ist die Verpackung ein richtiger Hingucker. Die Motive sind nicht nur gedruckt, sondern wie eingraviert. Der Magnet, der den Deckel drauf hält, ist auch stark genug. Sehr hochwertiger Eindruck.
