Yes, you could definitely wear outdoors. The bottom is more supportive like a shoe bottom.

Are these waterproof?

No but I have worn them out in the rain and they did well. You can’t spray some waterproof on them and they’ll be just fine.

Do they have any heels?

They do come up over your heel. Very comfortable.

I am a true size 8 1/2 with a narrow foot. what size should I order?

I am a size 9 and they tend to give a little after wear so if you want extra room go 9, if u want snug fit and 8.5 not offered go 8. Hope this helps
