I'm new to this stacked, marinated meat game, but already have pulled off chicken shawarma and beef gyros in the oven thanks to this simple tool. I purchased three sets, planning to use on the grill with foil pie pans for gatherings. (If the upper warming rack is removed, the 12" spikes fit at the back, where the cover slopes upward and is tall enough for the spikes to clear. Probably worth measuring yours.) Seems well made -- spike threads smoothly, stands straight and true; good weight, disassembles for easy storage, dishwasher safe. Far more stable than that skewer-through-the-onion-base trick that inevitably topples over. 😉

I wanted to make some chicken schwarma and saw that there were a ton of pans that you attach the skewer in the middle, but I didn't want to buy a whole extra pan. Then I found this product, for a 1/3 of the price and I had to give it a try. I just set it inside a small baking sheet and it worked perfect. It wasn't wobbly at all, it stood perfectly upright when I pulled it in and out of the oven a bunch of times. Shown here is 4lb of pounded flat chicken thigh covered in a spiced yogurt sauce on the 12" skewer. It had enough room to add a whole onion and 1/2 and apple at the top. Just keep adding water to the bottom of the pan every 30 minutes so the juices don't burn (I made that mistake!), but I'll do better on the next round!

The press fitting was detached, making the shaft wobbly and unstable. I had to tac wield it to make it work.

I must say I bought this for a Greek chicken recipe...more of a "let's see if this works". I placed six marinated thighs on the shortest spike and after oven time was very pleased with the results. I placed it on a foil pie plate inside a roasting pan and was rewarded with very little clean-up. Worth the purchase

It’s not very stable at all. I bought a few of these and only one of them came with a screw at the bottom that helps stabilize it, that could be why, because the others didn’t. That was the more stable one

Reasonably priced. I use it for chicken Shawarma. Base is thin and easily bent but you get what you pay for. Easy assembly with 2 spits of different lengths. Works well. Easy to use and clean. Very satisfied!

Wir haben dieses Produkt gekauft um einfach und schnell einen Spieß zuzubereiten. Hatten diesen für ein 3 Personen Haushalt für einen Burger bestückt. Wie man sieht, ist hier auf jeden Fall noch genug Platz für mehr Fleisch. Klare Kaufempfehlung.
