This is an excellent feeder, the hummers love it! It is well-made and super easy to take apart and clean! Honeybee cannot fit into the holes nor wasps.. However, I live in a tropical foreign country and we have very tiny bees here that can still slip through the port holes, drowning in the nectar and fouling it. Nonetheless, I rate these feeders with 4 stars as we are the exception rather than the norm.

I love feeding my hummingbirds and am continually on the hunt for the best feeder.... for cleaning, ease of filling, etc. This one I discovered this year. I have had similar ones in the past. This one I love for ease of cleaning, easy to get all nooks and crannies clean so I don't have to worry about slime or mildew. The feeder holds much more liquid than I expected (although I don't fill it to capacity as I do clean the feeder every couple of days). They are easy to fill and take apart as well. They work so well that after my initial order... I have reordered a couple of times. Additionally... the price is great.... so inexpensive for 2 feeders that work so well for my needs. I recommended them to my MIL and she loves them as well. Highly recommend.

This is my initial review of the feeder. I've used several including the First Nature 16 ounce (5/5 design) and a couple others. Cleaning: 5/5. Very easy to clean. Two pieces that come apart, easy to get to everything, round edges, no real complaints here. Maybe the backside of the port is an annoyance because it can catch on a sponge, but that's minor. Aesthetic: 5/5. You can clearly see all sides, and the railing elevates the bird just enough to get a good view of them. The red is very bright too. Appeal to birds: 5/5 I've read people say their birds haven't visited it. Getting birds to visit your place takes time. I was previously using First Nature feeder last year and just put these up in March and birds visited it within hours. They're probably my birds from last year. If birds aren't coming to the feeder it's likely that you don't have birds yet or they're not coming consistently. Durability: TBD. I suspect this won't last as long as some other feeders. The plastic feels very hard, so I suspect that if it falls it's more likely to break than some other feeders. Ant moat: I have my own so I probably won't use it, but it's nice to have built in. Other: we recently had a big wind storm here in Texas (broken trees, flipped trash cans etc). I believe the having the food at the bottom of the feeder rather than in a central reservoir like your typical feeder helped it remain stable. My other feeders were sticky from having the nectar splash out, none of these were sticky and from what I can tell I didn't lose any nectar. The design is probably more aerodynamic so it was catching less wind too. 5/5 design. The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 rating is because of what I mentioned about the hardness of the plastic. If these make it through the season I may revise the rating.

We love watching these amazing birds. They have a brain the size of a sugar snap pea but they can navigate to and from South America every year and find your backyard feeder the following year. That's right... They will come back.... Right to your feeder again the next year. If you move the feeder they'll come back, fly around looking like "where did it go"? It's truly amazing. We've learned a few things over the years about feeders, maybe I can help. This feeder checks all the boxes you need. Stay with red. That's the color they are most attracted to. Not yellow or green or blue... Just plain red. Box one checked. Get a feeder that provides a perch. They use it more than you think. It takes a ton of calories to keep those little wings beating a hundred miles an hour constantly. Box 2 checked. Always choose a feeder with an ant moat. It's sugar water. Ants ARE gonna try to get at it. If ants do foul the nectar the hummers will stop feeding soon after. This feeder checks that box too. That's 3. Go for a design that keeps the nectar out of direct sunlight. This one does that as the top feeding ports shade the area holding the nectar. Box 4. It's simple, easy to fill and economical. They give you 2 feeders!

These hummingbird feeders are much easier to clean than any other type I have tried. The flowers where the birds drink from are molded into the feeder so there are no nooks and crannies you have to struggle to clean properly. It is a great design.

I bought this 3 months ago, and it’s the best hummingbird feeder I’ve ever bought! There are no rubbery petals that grow mold so it’s a lot easier to clean and keep clean. It barely leaks when I take it on and off the hanger too! Once it’s hung, I don’t see and signs of leakage (ie drops of liquid). No feeder is leak proof that I have yet discovered, but this feeder is the best so far!

I have used a standard vertical style hummingbird feeder that had plenty of activity in the past. My biggest complaint with those were all the wasps that would gather and end up chasing away my birds. So I decided to look into these bee/wasp proof feeders. Based on many positive reviews and the price point these seem to be a great option. however, it became pretty obvious that after the feeder reached a lower level of nectar, the birds would not even be able to reach it. Thus I would have to throw away, at least half of the contents each time and refill. at first the birds would not even go for the new feeders and only stuck with the old ones until I finally removed the old ones and they were forced to go to the new feeders. They will feed at them, but there just doesn’t seem to be the same activity as with the vertical feeders. These new ones do seem to be well-made. The plastic is thick. The hanger is made out of metal and for the most part seem very sturdy. I’m just concerned about the birds not being able to reach the nectar. I may be back to give a higher or lower rating. We will see. UPDATE: I will leave my rating at three stars. The feeder is sturdy, easy to clean and fill and true to specs no wasps get on it but the birds don’t care for it and I found that little bugs/gnats get in and pollute the nectar. I’m still having to toss part of the nectar once it gets too low or nasty from bugs or just old bc the birds don’t like feeding from it.

Es más sencillo de utilizar, colgar y rellenar, además de que por ser diseño tipo plato es más fácil que lleguen dos o tres colibríes a beber al mismo tiempo, en los que había tenido de diseño vertical solo llegaba de a uno y no dejaba a otros acercarse, muy rara vez había dos al mismo tiempo.

For a feeder that isn't fancy, these are the best feeders that I have ever owned. The hummingbirds will feed from these before the fancy, crazy expensive ones I have. They snap together perfectly!
