Worked great as a replacement for the controller that died after 5 years. In my case it used the same app so it was a simple transition from old to new and easy to set up the Alexa routines. Much better than trying to replace the entire light strips.

Excellent product. My light strip didn't work with alexa. I bought this controller and now it does. It works great.

I wish it came with the power supply

Thus product is faulty. I recently purchased my second unit to replace thr first one that just stopped working and in less than 2 months the second one also stopped working. The lights starts flickering and stop responding to the remote or the App.

Beware of this device. Registration on your WiFi is virtually impossible. Have gone through the reset routine numerous times and neither the app nor the Wi-Fi on my phone will see the device. And I know it's not showing up because I can look at my mesh router and see that it is not even picking up a signal.

Full disclosure, this is my 3rd controller operating my led tape lights. It is the 2nd Magic Home controller I have had in probably 6 -7 years. The last one stopped working after a major power outage occured. Fortunately, I already had the power supply from the last one but the remote control does not work with my current controller which is fine as I set the lights automatically using Alexa, which was a breeze. The lights function as they should. I have not tried using any other functions such as music. I will update my rating if the controller stops working anytime soon but my past experience has been good.

This stopped working with Alexia app within a week since it loses its connection with my Wi-Fi, and it goes wild (see video). It has it own Wi-Fi, but it stops the other Wi-Fi connection I have my phone on. Don’t buy it. It has blue tooth, but that will get disconnected after while as well.

I’ve had this for a year or so now. Initially it worked very well but sadly it now will just randomly change the colors on my lights or start flashing weirdly. Wasn’t that expensive so I guess it may have lived its life

The only nitpick I have is in regards to the app needed to control it over WiFi. It looks like should work with the generic Tuya/SmartLife app, but it doesn't, so, I had to install another app (Magic Home), and the associated Alexa "skill". As for the good points ... everything else. Good WiFi range, flexible setup in the app - to, for example, change the order of the RGB channels. After ordering one to test, I ordered another one, and I will definitely order more in the near future.

I got this for a light strip that came with an IR remote. I only used the app to get it connected to my WiFi. Since then, it has been exclusively controlled by Home Assistant. Works perfectly.
