I’ve been using the FIDLOCK Twist Bottle 590ml + Bike Base System for a while now, and it has quickly become my favorite bottle setup. The magnetic twist mechanism is incredibly convenient—just snap it on and twist it off, even while riding. It holds securely, and I’ve had zero issues on bumpy trails. The new leak‑proof, self‑sealing cap works exactly as advertised. No spills, no drips, and the flow is smooth when drinking. The bottle itself feels durable, and the design is sleek compared to traditional cages. If your frame has limited space or you’re looking for a cleaner, more modern mounting system, this is absolutely worth it. Great quality and super practical.

Great bottles and easy to clamp on/off

I was dubious of this design but now that I've had it a few month, I love it. I was under the impression it was only magnets holding it in, but it also has a clever mechanism so it's much stronger than just the magnets. I feel it's more secure than a cage even. I've wrecked many times and purposefully tried to disengage it and I've not been able to do it once. I can't even get it to pop out with my knee when I try. At first I had a hard time finding the right alignment to snap back in while riding, but my body quickly learned. So just like it's no longer difficult to snap into my clip-less bindings, so too this just becomes natural after a few hours of riding. I actually find it easier than a cage now to re-attach. One just needs to just hover around the area, and the magnets will pick it up. The valve cover is pointed the wrong way for me. When I pull the bottle off with my right hand, I want to flip it up with my thumb as flipping it with my index finger is awkward and it flips back towards my face. But I don't ride in much mud and found that it was simple to remove without damage. I think it woudl be good for tight frames. My frame is an XL and the design is such I have much space on the down tube. But some bikes are more cramped and I could see one could put on an strap on base where one normally couldn't fir a bottle cage. The bottle is soft and the heart-valve works great for a powerful blast of water. Also being soft when banging about it flexes reducing the shock load on the attachment mechanism. I think this contributes to its resistance to getting bumped off. The binding plate on the bottle is removeable so if need be, one can replace just the bottle. I was able to mount a Topeak pump under it on the left using the same cage holes. It doesn't interfere as the bottle twists out to the right. In fact, it helps guide it.

I've purchased several FIDLOCK bottles & mounts and only one has experienced minor issues (a poor seal around the cap due to cross-threading). The issue was quickly resolved and my other products have been flawless. I would like to directly speak to their support experience because it's important. It's exceptional. Bar none, the best support I've had with any company. They responded promptly, didn't make me jump through a ton of hoops, and resolved the problem in a manner that exceeded my expectations. For both the quality of their products and the recent support experience, they've earned my continued business. Fantastic company.

If you ride an E bike, this is perfect for you. Good choice on sizes and easy to clean after use. So good I bought 2

I’ll start with the dislikes- Price, kind of expensive for a water bottle system Quality of bottle plastics- Doesn’t seem as malleable as other bottles I have from Specialized, seems kind of fragile and possibly could crack from squeezing to hard (hasn't cracked yet). The likes- Kind of cool that it attaches magnetically Easy to remove from Mount Sturdy even after going over the bars, bottle stayed in Mount Cover on bottle keeps out dirt and dust. So why only 4 stars? It’s a gimmick, it’s kinda pricey, plastic doesn’t seem long lasting on bottle. It does look clean without the water bottle cage but if your riding your bike why wouldn’t you want the water bottle mounted? That’s really the only thing I see that’s unique about it (for the price) I’d stick to regular water bottle holders unless you must have the latest. Just my opinion. It really works great! I had almost no room for a bottle cage on my eMTB and wrenching a bottle from a regular cage was not easy. This bottle and design completely fixed the problem. Highly recommended!

I had a issue with 1 of the screws. I started to finger thread it. Then took the hex bit and went to thread it some more. The hex bit was just held in my fingers and it started skipping around. At first I thought it was machined poorly and the bit just wasn't going far enough in. I basically stopped as soon as it hit the mount. I never even snugged it up. Contacted FIDLOCK. I would of been fine with knowing the exact screws to buy so I didn't have to hunt around, but instead they just sent replacement ones. When I removed it I looked more carefully. The original screw was already rounded out. I'm not sure I've ever seen a screw pre stripped in my life. Normally it's because the user did it. A company that backs their product with good customer service is a win for me. I've taken it on a blue trail so far. No issues with the bottle coming off. I'm pretty sure it'll handle black diamonds. If I find out they ever make a insulated bottle with a mud cap to protect the mouth piece from dirt. It's a instant buy for me.
