NSCA's Essentials of Sport Science

Just about 10 minutes into picking up this book I read the quote "However, as the world ventures deeper into the 21st century, there appear to be no limits to technological advancement and the information it can offer. This actuality has forced every industry to adapt-acquire the right technology, staff and skills-or die." and this got me even more intrigued, as a coach all American Sports need to adapt to the essence of Sport Science, or you will be dust in the wind. Thank you NSCA for putting this information out.

To date, this is the most comprehensive sports science text I have come across with numerous well-respected authors in the field. As everyone reading this book has a different background (S&C, medical, data analyst) I feel there are chapters that every individual within the sport setting can benefit from reading.

Surprisingly comprehensive and in-depth. None of my texts books used during my sport science degree were as complete.

The list of authors and chapters alone makes this a valuable textbook for current and aspiring sport scientists, coaches, therapists, and all other practitioners working with athletic populations. You won’t regret reading this book!
