How are they for walking on small rocks and shells?? The beaches on the north shore of Long Island are not forgiving on your feet.

I would not recommend these booties/ socks for that! I use them as a padding between my flippers and my feet when scuba diving

Are these suitable for wearing for sand volleyball to keep sand out and also to keep your feet from burning on the hot sand?

I use for kayaking & they keep my feet warm in cold water, note the run small.

What is the difference between the gbs low cut and flat lock low cut? Thanks!

I had this same question. Finally found the answer in one of the photos: gbs stands for glue bound seam, which supposedly helps keep water out and feet dry. Haven't ordered mine yet, so I can't say if gbs works better than the simple stitched seam.

Does feet get hot in hot sand?

No really but sizes go small, but a bigger size
