The magic elixir for ultra running!
Hi! I’m an ultra runner from Maine. I’ve been running long distances for the better part of 11 years and I remember the first time I tried Tailwind nutrition, running my first 50 mile race I was starting to get cramps in my thighs, having not taken in any electrolytes just water a fellow racer offered me some of her tailwind which I was nervous about since I have a sensitive stomach but she said I needed it. It stopped my cramps and I felt great the rest of the race! Immediately ordered some and it’s now a key part of all my training and racing. I always have a bag, use so much for every race and have never had any major stomach issues, as a matter of fact I rarely have tummy troubles during a race unless I ate something weird. It works incredibly well! Keeps you hydrated and fueled and tastes great! Don’t forget it’s needed in those cold running months too! We’re still sweating under all those layers and can get dehydrated, also if you mix tailwind a little thicker it can help prevent your water from freezing on some of those long cold runs. I even have used it after having a sickness that had me running a fever so that I could stay hydrated! I mainly stick to the lemon and unflavored variety but am planning on trying the caffeinated flavors now that I am running over night races up too 100 miles. I also have yet to try the recovery drinks but they look absolutely delicious and I have a feeling they will taste better than the typical protein powders I add to my smoothies. I absolutely love tailwind and am so glad that women offered me some that day!

Working great so far.
This stuff works great for my mountain bike rides. Right now I'm using 2 scoops in my 26oz water bottle for rides around ~10 miles long with up to 2,000ft of climbing. I haven't done any longer rides with it yet but I'll probably add another scoop when I do.The taste (lemon, in this case) is pretty mild. I guess that could be a pro or con depending on what you're looking for. Seems fine to me.

Great for Ultramarathon, great for training.
This stuff is awesome. Recently completed my first ultramarathon, a 50k with a lot of elevation change, and by the end I felt strong and energetic (all things considered). The only fuel / electrolytes I used was Tailwind.I don't like to drink a ton of water when running, so I was worried if I would be able to drink enough to get the recommended 200 to 300 calories per hour from Tailwind alone, but for the 5 hours I raced I had no problem drinking 300 calories per hour (minus 150 calories for the beginning and end, as a ramp up and ramp down for fueling). I mixed 150 calories of Tailwind in each of two 15 oz bottles of water, and that easily got me from aid station to aid station. (3 to 5 miles between stations.)I put the Tailwind in premeasured 150 calorie zip lock baggies. During this race I poured the Tailwind powder into my empty bottles while walking up hill, but next time I'm going to try cutting a corner of the zip locks and sealing it with tape or paper clips for easier pouring, I hope.My wife pit crewed for me and gave me new baggies at two aid stations, but honestly for 50k I only needed to be given new baggies once during the race.I'm planning on using this as my soul fuel for a 50 miler I'm doing next year, and I'm pretty sure it will work great! One other thing about Tailwind. It has been wonderful for improving my recovery from long, hard runs. I used to take a little nuun water (about 15 ounces total), maybe one gu, with me for say a hard 14 or 16 mile training run. I would be dehydrated and hungry and feel like crap afterwards. Using Tailwind I feel much better. (Although part of it is surely also just drinking MORE in general.) I used to feel putting myself a little through the wringer helped train me in toughness, but now I think it's more important to recover easily to be ready for more good training.

Good carb hydration mix
Easy on the gut. Mixes well. Mild lemon taste. I like to add a lemonade drink mix with it to boost the flavor. I double up the serving size for longer efforts.

My go to for sure
I will start by saying, I am NOT an endurance athlete, though I wish I was. I am a 57 year old male, running for 10 years now. I trudge 25-30 miles a week with a little speed work mixed in, a long run. Not unlike most runners.Tailwind, what I appreciate is that it mixes very well, no clumps to block whatever I am drinking out of. My go to flavor is the lemon. Goes to down smooth, good taste, no gut bombs. It took a few efforts in mixing to find my sweet spot, but when I did Tailwind has performed. At least I think it has? By that I mean this. I do not feel a rush of energy nor does my speed increase climbing hills. I do not feel amazing. But what I have noticed is that I do not slow down either, I do not bonk nor do I get discouraged. Mentally, it gives me the confidence in knowing I can do this. I am able to keep trudging like I have not able to before. Ergo, I believe this stuff works at keeping me balanced. I just feel like I can keep going. Yes I get tired on a 15 miler, but I feel and know that I can do it! For me, taking some Tailwind in my system every 10 minutes or so, just a few gulps, keeps me upright and moving forward. This stuff works for me. I will keep using it as long as they make it. Thank you Tailwind for getting through marathons and up mountains, and even my 5 mile easy runs.

Get ready to sweat! Tailwind will keep you going.
I absolutely love using Tailwind! Its light flavor is refreshing and makes hydration enjoyable, without being heavy on my stomach. I rely on this product, especially during my runs in the sweltering heat of South Florida. The combination of electrolytes and carbohydrates keeps my energy levels up while ensuring I stay properly hydrated, even on the hottest days. It's a game changer for my training sessions!

Amazing product!
Was recommended this mix from a buddy that runs ultra marathons (I’m barely getting into running my first marathon) and I love it!The powder mixes very well and tastes amazing! Super refreshing, doesn’t taste like fake sugar, and doesn’t leave a nasty after taste in your mouth. I’ll usually drink this the day before a long run and during my long run; with that I feel great, replenished, lots of energy, and don’t feel as fatigued afterwards.I’ll also throw two scoops (smaller dose) if I’m feeling tired and dehydrated and this mix helps get me back to that normal level.Out of all the electrolyte drinks on the market, this is hands down one of my favorite.

Nutrition that works!
I find Tailwind the best source of fuel as it doesn't give me any stomach issues during use. Tastes good and works so that's all I need. Check out Tailwind's main site as some of the items are better priced on there.
