Key notes: Worth the money, easy assembly(I suggest power tools to make it quicker but really just need a screwdriver). I put it together on my own fine, but goes faster with two people. Had this for over 10months- survived being outside all seasons so far. I have an escape artist cat that I cannot trust on my upper apartment balcony, so I needed a fully enclosed catio. This is perfect! I bought 2 and put them together to make one big enough for my 16lb cat(he’s a big boy). The shelves support his weight no problem. Some modifications I made: replaced the roof with the spare wall panels from the two kits. The original roof panels blew right off, first storm we had(seriously can not add enough screws to hold on) after several attempts of screws and tying it on, I scrapped the roof panels as they also turned the catio into a giant and destructive kite. The mesh wall panels worked great for a roof, and now my cat can look up at the sky! This lines up well to a sliding door- not tall enough to block the whole opening so I screwed one of the spare shelf panels to block an escape route. I suggest securing your catio, however possible. This blew around badly every storm we had because it is so lightweight. Definitely suggest getting some ratchet straps! I have had no problems since securing it properly. Overall very pleased with my purchase!

It was easy to assemble, and the upper opening is at just the right height for my window. I cut a square out of a piece of sturdy foam insulation to block the rest of the window, so I can leave it open most of the time, weather permitting. My two cats love being able to go in and out at will, and I'm happy that they're safe on the apartment balcony. I've had this catio for about two years now, and it's still sturdy. It's protected from the worst of the weather because it's on a covered balcony. Absolutely recommend!

Once setup, this thing is everything I hoped for. We will be using it on a covered patio. However assembly was challenging, mostly due to poorly marked items. The screws are clearly marked in separate bags - nice. The wooden pieces are stamped with ink numbers. On our unit, the ink marks were only half there or smudged. This was the case on half or three fourths of the pieces. What that resulted in is we assembled the bottom square wrong. First, two pieces were upside down. There was nothing in instructions or diagrams that made this clear. We then disassembled the unit and reassembled. Then once we got the top unit together, realized two sides on the bottom needed swapped to get the bench in the right place for the top. If the items were clearly identified with their part numbers, I would totally take responsibility for this. However since they are not, this is the responsibility of the manufacturer. As far as how long it takes to put this together, I saw some estimates of 45 minutes. I am skeptical. I assemble all kinds of different things. Just put together a piece of furniture to hide a cat box in our bedroom. It took us 3 hours on this thing. If the parts had been clearly marked, I think between 60 and 90 minutes is a good estimate. So paying for assembly is not an unreasonable idea. If you are doing it yourself, make sure you have an electric screwdriver! Lots of screws. Final comments, we may very well buy another one to give the cats more room. Assembly should be a piece of cake second time. Might even get it done in 45 minutes!

This is NICE. It wasn’t very difficult to put together (i had 2 people). It did have a smell at first but i’m sure that’s because it’s made of fir. It wasn’t a chemical smell, it smelled of good quality wood which further reassured me in my purchase. it’s so easy to move around and it even came with extra parts. 10/10

I should start off by saying super cute! And the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS OUTSTANDING! And no I was not paid to write this! Seriously. Not joking. A lot of people have complained the smell was strong? Really?! I thought it smelled great! The wood?! Idk maybe I’m weird?? It definitely does NOT smell like chemicals! It does take about 2 hrs to put together! The directions are spot on to a T. I was iffy on what product to buy I was nervous. It’s a lot of money. ESP in today’s society. But this company helped ease my mind. Answered any questions I had. Fast shipping honestly even if it came from China! Very honest people. You don’t get that anymore and yes they care about animals. Maybe spray it if you want more protection against water. There is always more that WE can do to protect the things we buy and invest into. Keep our things nice. It is a beautiful product. I highly recommend! Highly. I live in Ohio and I will be buying from this company again. Let me verify no this was not a paid review. This is a honest review. This company is a honest company and will help you in any way they can and are very kind and stand behind their word! If it’s broken they will make it right. If it’s not broken they take pride in the work they did. Maybe it’s not the best wood?! But hey you get what you paid for! It was under 275$!! You want better wood then guess what you will pay well over 500-700 or build it yourself. Over all I’m very happy and my baby will be too! Thank you!! Buy buy buy!

The wood is soft and cheap, but so far it's holding together great. It's lightweight enough to move around without much trouble. It took me three or four hours to put it together by myself, but it was worth the trouble. I use a tie town strap to secure it to the side of the trailer.

What a pleasant surprise!! after reading the reviews I was a bit nervous.. Anticipating a long process of assembling this enclosure. I am an older woman , pretty handy with a screwdriver and a drill but, I do have some physical issues that make things a bit more difficult. I used a small rechargeable screwdriver and when that ran down I finished up with a rechargeable drill. I got down to business Saturday morning thinking it was easily going to take ALL Day. The 45 minutes with 2 people?? no way.. One person, Me 3 hours, taking my time, carefully and methodically laying out all the parts. Each section was labelled. The screws were bagged up nicely and labelled. I didn't notice any unusual or strong odors. it was a nice grayish blue color. each piece fit beautifully together and pilot holes were drilled and there were pegs that made holding each section together with one person a piece of cake! Following the directions were simple once I got a grip on where the stamped labels were. My enclosure is on a covered porch and my indoor cat LOVES being on the porch able to watch the birds and jump from one level to another. Her favorite place is at the VERY top shelf on top of the small enclosure. I highly recommend this enclosure. The box weighs about 75 pounds and FEDEX in my area is a little dicey about climbing a step or 2. but this time they did make it to the porch and I just open the box and spread out all the pieces very methodically able to put it together. Don't be intimidated if you are by yourself. I was very proud of myself when I was finished and the cat got to spend the whole afternoon outside!!

Cheap price for cheap product. Many pieces arrived with splinters and chipped wood. Was hard to assemble and wood splits more when you’re screwing the screws in. Missing two parts with delivery which is frustrating.
