Is this safe for cats to be around?

A suggestion: Don't spray on your pillowcase, but spray on the pillow itself, then put on the pillowcase. I'd think that would go a long way towards protecting any pet from dangerous contact. My cat doesn't sleep on my pillows, so not terribly concerned, but this is what I do just in case.

How strong is the smell? Is it overpowering? I am interested in a Grapefruit one

I have the pink grapefruit and it's light, not overpowering at all. I use it as a general room freshener spray, maybe 2 shots.

Does this make the floor sticky?

Not at all. It diffuses in the air and doesn't hit the floor. It doesn't spray out in a stream but more like a mist. I guess it would only make the floor sticky if you bent down and sprayed it directly on the floor for some reason.

bought this for a friend & he can't figure out how to make it spray

Mine sprays fine. Maybe the little tube that runs to the bottom of the bottle is not quite attached? I’d try fiddling with that. I’m on my 2nd bottle and both pumps worked fine. If that doesn’t fix it, I’m sure they will exchange it for you.
