Skechers Men's Melson Volgo Slip-On Loafer

This is the best all-around shoe I have ever purchased. It is a moccasin style- but with very good support and is easy slip-in and out. So it functions quite well as a walking shoe. The canvas fabric is easily cleanable and does not attract much dirt. So I have worn it with Khakis and a blazer- and it looks great (in 2024). The price is right, and it is a durable shoe. It's a great multi-purpose choice for an extended trip. If it does become dirty, it is easy to wash/ clean and dries overnight. The only con is the laces. You don't need to tie them initially, but over time, the laces may stretch and look oddly long, so I tie them to reduce the slack. I've only needed to install new laces once after a pet chewed them- and that process was tedious because of the lace and eyelet design. These shoes are cheap enough to replace on a regular basis- I have owned a few pairs.

I love these. I mostly wear them around the house as slippers. Insoles are super nice. Might be too soft for wearing out. Well made, easy to slip on and off. Fits true to size. If I bought them again I’d probably go for a wide version.

The shoes are very light, very comfortable, and the soles really grip wet surfaces (cement, tile, etc.). Unfortunately, the insoles are not very sturdy. The hole shown in the picture resulted from walking about 100 miles over 2 1/2 months. However, this can be fixed by replacing the insoles with inserts such as Dr. Scholls for around $15. Be warned that doing this takes a bit of effort because the insoles are pretty tightly glued to the shoe. But it can be done and it is worth it . I now have 3 pair, two of which have Dr. Scholls inserts.

I ordered these a couple years ago. When I received them I was initially underwhelmed. Then of course the fact that they were "vegan" struck me as hilarious for some reason. I never really thought about the need for vegan shoes. They also appeared rather cheaply put together, thus I expected them to wear out quickly. Well, I was wrong. These are excellent shoes. I wear them a lot. They are quite comfortable and they have held up far better than I expected. They are those shoes that you slip on to go to the mail box or the supermarket. I've worn the soles on mine to the point that it's time to replace them. Additionally, I also have issues with tendonitis in my feet and these do a good job of not aggravating the issue. I'll be ordering another pair. They also fit correctly. one of the reasons I buy Skechers consistently is that if I order a size 12, I always get the same size 12 on each type. I probably have 6 or 7 pairs of Skechers and they hare always correct with the sizing, thus safe to mail order.

Second time I bought them. Very comfortable and super lightweight. They look good and the size fit was excellent. For that price - unbeatable.
