Stereo to mono as what I was trying to do it and it worked perfect.

must have for older radios
If you have stereo headset/ear phone's and an older mono receiver thisgives audio to both right and left.

Does the job, but is finicky.
Adaptor is made well and feels professional, but in practice it doesn’t justify the nearly $6.00 price tag.It converted the mono signal out of my mixer to both left and right sides of my headphones. But I had to have my headphone cable plugged in just right or it would flake out and be a mono signal only in the left ear.Also, the connection feels too tight compared to other 3.5mm (1/8th inch) jacks. You really have to force the cable into the adaptor. It’s seems that I have the best results by twisting and inserting my headphone cable into the adaptor to hear out of both channels.

These kinda short out .
These are decent looking adapters and fit tight , but all 5 I ordered I have to twist them into the plug to maintain a stereo both sides audio on my headphones . These are stereo adapters because they have two slots on the plug. So I am not sure why there is an issue. I will keep them because once I twist them they stay connected as long as I don't move or bump them.

Headphones MUST stick out very slightly for this to work properly
I guess you get what you pay for--I've tried multiple sets of headphones and each requires the jack to hang out -JUST- slightly before going all the way in.. instead of being snug plugged -all- the way in.When in this configuration, it does work splitting the mono signal to stereo, but if your headphones are plugged ALL the way in, you will simply get the left side only.

Makes a solid very tight connection
This adapter works excellent. 1/8 side fits perfectly, the plug snaps in place making a tight connection. 1/4 side snaps right in place. No crackling noises like you hear with cheaper adapters.

Good enough.
Works well. Doesn't crackle or distort sound. I'm not a hard core audiophile, but I appreciate how I don't notice it's there sound quality wise.
