This disc marking gauge is exactly what I needed to make accurate score cut marking lines on my various wood working projects without the use of a pencil. Pencil thickness can vary and so can then the accuracy of my cuts. I tested the accuracy of this disc marking gauge against many steel rulers and it was right on the money, dead accurate! It is entire body is made from non-Ferrous (non-magnetic) metal with only the small (shirt button size) steel cutter being Ferrous (magnetic steel). The body of the tool is calibrated up to 6" or 15 cm with looks like to be laser etching on the barrel of the tool. It comes with a rotating disc cutter for soft woods (pine, etc.) and non-rotating cutter for hardwoods such as maple, ash, etc. It also came with a pencil and a pencil holder in case you wanted to use a pencil instead of the metal disc. It also comes with a metal "bow-tie style dovetail” wood gauge too. Complete with detailed instructions on how to use the marking gauge but not the dovetail gauge. Made in China. It also comes in a nice round protective mail tube for great storage. I am glad to have and use this professional marking tool as part of my woodworking tool collection!

Exactly what I wanted and it is well made. I admit that I am a beginner with dovetails but the tools made it understandable. I plan on using them a lot more in the following months.

Marking wheel is pretty good with the exception of the knob loosens rather easily, so I needed to check and tighten frequently. I don’t really use the dovetail guide , easier to just practice your angle when cutting dovetails. Otherwise great product

Just Wow! I am so impressed. The tool came in a very neat packaging, the instructions on how to use it are so clear you can not navigate it wrong. The tool itself is super accurate. Best tool for dovetail joints i got so far!
