The pictures say 78% wool but the description says 84%; which is the correct percentage of wool?

The package says: 78% wool, 10% nylon, 10% acrylic, and 2% spandex.

I wear size 14 shoes would the xl work?

This Depends on the type of fit that you want, theoretically this size would fit, but again this may or may Not be what you want.
