As a new carp fisherman these. Rigs are great. The hooks are sharp and the hair rigs work well with the small plastic ‘bump’ all yiu really need to keep corn from coming off. An excellent product at a great price.

This is a good kit. The durability and size are perfect for big carp. It also doesn't break the bank.

These rigs are well made and easy to use. I had a great experience buying the mixed size pack (although it took forever to get to me) and started catching carp right away combined with a method feeder. The hooks were sharp but needed to be honed a bit to be sharp enough for me. They were barbed just like the picture. I liked them so much I bought the size 4 rigs and they arrived much quicker but were barbless unlike the picture. That’s why I subtracted 1 star. The barbless hooks were very very sharp and I don’t mind fishing barbless so I kept them but it would’ve been nice to know.

Caught my first carp and a PB at that. Didn't get to snap a picture since I didn't have a landing net but these rigs work. I caught a channel cat and my first carp on it. Carp looked close to 3 feet long about 15lbs I'm estimating. Very strong and sharp hooks.

Good starting kit to have

For around $10, these hair rigs really aren’t bad deal. The length is good, the braid feels nice, and the hooks are sharp and seem to be well made. They hold boilies well, and overall the rigs are a convenient option when you want to get fishing quickly without tying your own. My biggest issue, and really my only major complaint, is the anti tangle and heat shrink tubing around the swivel. It sits too far up the body of the swivel, which makes it extremely difficult to get the rig properly seated into a lot of size 8 inline leads and method feeders. For a better fit, I recommend trimming some of the excess rubber or tubing from the shaft of the swivel. Once you do that, the components fit together much more naturally. One thing I would recommend before buying any pre tied hair rigs is researching exactly what style of rig you need. A lot of rigs designed for inline method feeders don’t necessarily need anti tangle tubing at the swivel connection. It’s helpful, but it’s not always necessary. That style of tubing makes more sense for a traditional inline lead setup where you want the rig to kick away from the lead and reduce tangles. Also, use bait stops. These rigs may hold boilies well, but I strongly recommend using bait stops if they aren’t included. Your bait will stay on significantly better, especially when casting. Overall, for about $10, these are a decent quick trip or backup option. You get what you pay for, and I still strongly recommend learning to tie your own hair rigs if you’re going to fish carp regularly. But if you don’t want to overcomplicate things or spend time tying rigs before a quick session, these will get the job done. My main issue is the placement of the anti tangle tubing, which makes these a poor fit for many size 8 inline method feeders and inline leads without modification.
