This is so fun and find of scary the phone numbers are real and the amount of evidence is great and and it looks real and feels real I would say definatley for older kids above the age of 15yrs my daughter is 14 yrs old and was kinda freaked out easy with the real phone numbers u have to call but over all it was fun

Can I play this game and then get a refund? That's what the previous owner of the game did. The envelope had been folded and torn open, I don't think it was part of the effect of having an envelope in your pocket and then it was collected as evidence, either. The game is honestly not as good as other brands of murder mystery games. This game definitely has the weakest solution of all of the games I've played from Hunt a Killer, etc. If you're wondering why it's $17, that's why. It's a very unsatisfying end result.

We have three of these and my family loves them! This one was pretty good. Not easily solved but not too hard. My teenagers and their friends really liked it. We have a white board that we use and we always start out on teams but end up solving them together. The websites links worked great. Lots of fun!

The quality is great and the investigation is fun. The outcome is not one you can reasonably come to with the given evidence (not as far as finding the means, motive and opportunity). We have done several murder mysteries from several companies and this was my least favorite because the outcome was too far fetched. It was intended to stump the investigator, not reveal an evidence-based outcome. It was entertaining but we were all extremely disappointed. The cipher and injection schedule were very well constructed. Both were challenging but achievable which is exactly what you want in these games. Had the outcome been one that could’ve been more reasonably achieved my review would have been different. We already purchased another one of these from this company so we will give it a second chance before swearing this company off (we purchased both at the same time).

I did this with my 13 year old daughter. We’ve tried a few different brands of these crime packets and we really liked the setup of this one. A few reviews said the cover letter seems like it’s written by an 8-year old. Honestly, this is an overreaction and had I not read that, I would never have thought anything of it. It took us about 3.5 hours. It’s very detailed, there are no witness reports, interrogation reports or suspect photographs (there are 2, but not 8-10 like other packets) but there’s plenty of evidence to go through including a full mini newspaper and not just an article strip. There’s online interaction that are not just hints so you’ll need internet and a Facebook account. Some of the ‘challenges’ to figure out are definitely not for beginners and may stump you for a little while. There are extensive and multiple hints for every phase available online with no spoilers through a provided link. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed this and if you’re a fan of crime packets like us, I definitely recommend it. FYI: the game is German in origin, so if some of the grammar seems off, keep in mind it has been translated to English and may not follow speech patterns and sentence structure 100%.

I purchased these for my daughter for Christmas. These are so much fun! It takes some time to determine the outcome which is nice. My daughter has a few versions and have used them during sleepovers. I highly recommend!

This is the US version of the German iDventure deduction game. They make some of the best in the genre and we are lucky that a us publisher has licensed this and the Antarctica game from them. The rest of the releases from this US company cost considerably more and have less compelling experiences but this one and the Antarctica one are really good and a great value at this price. I certainly hope university games licenses the other iDventure games (there are two more) for the US market!!!

This is so well constructed and I have been telling everyone I know to get this game. My friend and I bought this along with an escape room game and this definitely takes the cake. It provides you with paperwork to write on but it's not necessary and you can get away with using your own notebook. That way it can easily be passed on which I thought was great because it helps fund your next case file!! Which I most definitely will be purchasing! Great way to spend an evening critically thinking with friends and having fun doing it! Thanks so much to the creators! Keep it up!

Personally, I find it hard to play these sorts of games in a group as I’m quite controlling but it’s great. I love all the different pieces of evidence and photos and information you get. Love these games. Love this brand.
