Backyard Innovations Quick Vac Spa Vacuum

These are expensive so my initial thought when it got to me was, "what a piece of crud for what I paid". I was very pleasantly surprised when I used it for the first time. It was unlike anything I've used before that had to be charged up. I am only using it for small bits of dirt and debris in my hot tub, but it works perfect for that. Once you get the hang of how to use it, it's very easy and effective. I would buy another one simply on the fact I don't have to keep it on a charger and I don't have to plug it in anywhere. It's lightweight, but made out of sturdy materials It would be good for a small pool, but the suction opening is not real big so it's perfect for my spa.

Great for cleaning dirt our of the bottom of the spa gets the hard to reach areas, was fairly easy to get flowing. If you want to use it to drain a spa it will take a while and stops before the last few inches of water. Overall I am satisfied with the product.

First, I am sure this is a fine product. It is just that the description is so poor. I was looking for a product to vacuum an in-ground fountain. This is a simple tube that works purely on GRAVITY. No suction action at all. The pool, spa, fountain etc. that you are vacuuming MUST be above the level of the discharge portion of the tube for this to work. Again, an elegant, simple and seemingly effective product but poor description. I don't think it would be hard to have a better description and pictures of the actual product so that consumers can decide if it is right for them. Thankfully not so expensive and will probably be able to find some use for it.

As I thought about the principles that make this thing work (suction & siphoning) I first put the entire thing (hose and tube) in my hot tub, pushing it underwater and forcing it to fill with water. Then, following ⁸the directions, it took just a few "shakes" and water was flowing onto the ground, sucking debris out quickly and thoroughly. It took me all of 10 minutes to clean the debris from my new hot tub. I was happy and impressed with the effectiveness and simplicity of this little gadget.

While this item works, the description made it seem like it would easily filter the debris from the water. However, it takes the debris AND water with it. If you are looking for a product that filters this out for you -without additional work on your end - I HIGHLY recommend buying "Paradise Spa Vacuum" by Aura!!! That product works great without a ton of effort, and without sucking half your water out with it!

Literally a suction tube. However it does do the job. By creating a low pressure system within the tube it moves water thru the tube creating suction at the head end. Vents the water overboard along with the waste. Simple hydromechanics. IT just works.

This is the only hot tub pump to use, ever. I’ve been doing this for 20+ years. I’ve used electric pumps and other quick drains and this one holds up the best, quickest, and easiest to use. I will only use and recommend this to anyone else.

Bought this to use as a hottub vacuum as that was what it was advertised as online on amazon. I get the Box and mostly advertised as a pool drainer or spa drainer. It works I suppose. It’s a Manuel syfon system. No actual vac system. As another review says- the markup on this item would be 400%. For 55$ it is a 4’ thin plastic tube. And a 6” rubber hose. You pump it yourself and get the gravity syhon going. Very basic. Not worth it

Best, easiest way to remove debris from bottom of hot tub! Added bonus’... no electricity ($$) needed + slim profile allows for easy, compact storage!
