The strands are thin but still hold up well without turning mushy if you cook them properly. It’s also very affordable for the quality you get. Inexpensive, and great tasting. I only use the Angel Hair Pasta when making my Pasta sauce. Just remember when making sauce, for Spaghetti or Meat loaf, it takes the all three Ground Beef, Ground Pork, and you can only get the Ground Veal from Bristol Farms Market. For me Classico is best from Von’s or Ralph’s.

The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is that angel hair can easily go from perfectly tender to mushy if you blink during cooking. A minute too long and it loses that lovely delicate texture, so you’ve really got to watch the clock. Also, if you’re into heartier sauces or chunkier ingredients, the thin strands don’t always stand up as well as thicker pastas. Overall, this Barilla angel hair pasta is a solid choice for light, quick meals and easy flavor pairings. It’s consistent, affordable, and tasty — just keep a close eye on the pot!
