Review: Highly recommend recommended great information - Simple little story with lots of good information it helped my granddaughter. Write her book report. Review: Age appropriate 6-9yrs - I’ve bought almost all of these books and our daughters love them. Pros: age appropriate, easy for 6-9 year olds to understand and read. So far no scary details or bias agendas. Color pictures. Organized layout & summary style paragraphs. The serious is new so hopefully they’ll become more inclusive of the arts and innovation. Kids get enough of boring history in school. So far this series seems to be simultaneously covering old history but also capturing the biographies of some fascinating people who are contributing to the future. Let’s inspire kids. This book got my daughter to read!
I have a daughter who struggles to read and doesn't enjoy it. She LOVES gymnastics and I bought this for her Christmas stocking hoping to inspire her to read and in gymnastics. I ended up giving it to her early, hoping it would get her reading, and it worked! She read the entire book in a day and has re-read much of it again. She even declared that she loved reading after this and has been inspired. It makes this mom's heart so thankful and happy!

Teaches and Empowers Young Girls to Work Hard and Make Their Own Decisions
Wow. This book has it all - Rachelle Burk transforms Simone Biles' inspiring and incredible story into words and illustrations that young girls and boys will understand and internalize to feel confident, empowered and open-minded. Through this story of hardship and hard work, Burk goes further to spark the understanding of new words and explore critical thinking through interactive think-tank questions. As someone who was a little girl during the 1996 Olympics, I only wish I could have had a book like this. One of the many important messages is about making your own decisions and feeling empowered to do so. I so enjoyed reading this and can only imagine how many young girls - and young boys - will take this in and know that being like Simone Biles isn't just about winning gold medals - it's about winning at life. Worth the purchase - for adults or kids! Would make a great holiday gift as well.
