This book got my daughter to read!
I have a daughter who struggles to read and doesn't enjoy it. She LOVES gymnastics and I bought this for her Christmas stocking hoping to inspire her to read and in gymnastics. I ended up giving it to her early, hoping it would get her reading, and it worked! She read the entire book in a day and has re-read much of it again. She even declared that she loved reading after this and has been inspired. It makes this mom's heart so thankful and happy!

Age appropriate 6-9yrs
I’ve bought almost all of these books and our daughters love them. Pros: age appropriate, easy for 6-9 year olds to understand and read. So far no scary details or bias agendas. Color pictures. Organized layout & summary style paragraphs. The serious is new so hopefully they’ll become more inclusive of the arts and innovation. Kids get enough of boring history in school. So far this series seems to be simultaneously covering old history but also capturing the biographies of some fascinating people who are contributing to the future. Let’s inspire kids. What about: Mary Blair Retta Scott Maya Angelou Kay Ryan Neil de grasse Tyson Alexander Graham Bell Eugenie Clark Steven Spielberg Vera Wang Emily Callandrelli Diane Keaton Mary Cassatt Georgia O’Keefe Neil Patrick Harris Idina Menzel Kristin Chenoweth Emily Dickinson Desmond Richardson Maria Tallchief Martha Graham Taylor Swift Dolly Parton Aretha Franklin Carrie Underwood Mary Lou Retton Kristi Yamaguchi Scott Hamilton Michelle Kwan LeBron James Joe Montana Jerry Rice Elizabeth Gilbert Chelsea Clinton Abbey Fleck Shirley Temple Gitanjali Rao Grace Hopper Marie Van Brittan Brown Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak Peter Tsai Flynn McGarry Alton Brown Masaharu Morimoto
