Hi! Great Upgrade. Made a huge difference. I got this for my desktop (this is for desktops, not laptops). My HP was running super slow—apps were dragging, web pages took forever, and even simple stuff was a pain. Definitely just not enough RAM for what I needed. You probably have at least one memory expansion port in your desktop and so this goes in one of them. Installing it was way easy. You unplug it, take off the case with a screwdriver, find the RAM slots on the motherboard, line up the little notchs, and push it in until it clicks. That's it. It will recognize the new RAM right away. Everything runs smoother now—no more lag, things open fast, and multitasking doesn’t slow it down anymore. If your desktop’s been crawling like mine was, this is 100% worth it.

Bought to upgrade my HP gaming Pavillion desktop tg01 0028 from 8 gig to 16 gig. The memory card itself is slightly different then the factory 8 gb ram card and it doesn't have the greatest click which was off putting for me as someone who is just getting into computers, as I didn't want to break anything but as long as you have the card lined up just put even pressure until the tabs lock and you are good to go, the results are nice much smoother game play, along with staying around 50% of use on large games and even better no issues with the using this with the factory 8 bit card

If you have an HP Pavillion TP01-xxx desktop compuiter; let it be known that this Crucial DR4-2666 MH CL19 DESKTOP MEMORY CT8G4DFRA266 can be installed fairly quickly without having to take anything apart inside. It is a simple matter of putting an anti-static wristband on either wrist; connect the alligator clip to a metal part somewhere within reach of what you are doing. Remove the side cover and if this is not your first time doing this, you should have the computer back together with all your peripherals; mouse; keyboard any USB connectors; HDMI or other video connector to your monitor and be up and running in under 15 minutes. VERY simple. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT NOTE: Installation notes: a. DON'T FORGET THE ANTI-STATIC WRIST STRAP. Also, b. to be safe and not zap your new or old memory module; your motherboard or worse everything inside the casing rendering your PC completely useless: c. even with the wrist band on, to be on the safe side discharge any residual static electricty from yourself; ensure to touch some metal on the pc casing surface before touching anything inside the computer that has a microchip; and that the alligator clip is secure. d. MAKE SURE you are not using a screwdriver or anything else that might fall inside the casing and land on the motherboard or other sensitive component that has a magnetized end. A screwdriver with a magnetized end for example, won't be useful for anything except snagging a hard to get tiny screw or something. Then, except for getting that little screw that magnetized screwdriver end in this example could degauss, or demagnetize something you don't want degaused or demagnetized. As a result, you could very well find yourself holding 600 dollars or so worth of garbage instead of the computer you set out to upgrade. You DO want to upgrade, nopt down grade or degrade altogether, right? Okay. So careful not to have any magnets too close by within your work area while doing your upgrade. Finally, an anti-static wristband if you don't already know can be purchased for under 10 dollars or not much more than 5 or 6 dollars. That small extra amount of money could be the difference between being up and running quickly or without a PC. Don't start the uprade without one. If you are new to this or just haven't done an upgrade for awhile, don't forget someone told you so. I hope you see this and I hope this was helpful to you.

Crucial is a great stick of RAM and if you use the compatibility finder on their website, the RAM will work in your system. It's a no-brainer if you need this type of memory,

The Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Desktop Memory CT8G4DFRA266 was purchased to be compatible with the 8 GB RAM already installed on my Dell 3670 PC. It was installed successfully and found to be fully compatible. This upgrade could have gone more smoothly if the new card was fully engaged during its initial installation. The first installation resulted in the PC’s power button light flashing 2 then 7 orange lights repeatedly. Dell 3670 User’s Manual signifies this as a “RAM FAILURE”. Upon a closer examination of the installation, it was noticed that one of the hold-down clamps securing the new card (in slot #2) was not quite fully closed. To address this, the card was removed and then re-installed to ensure complete closer of both clamps. That resolved the issue. View photos to see how just a little lack of clamp closer can result in an unacceptable installation.

Just installed the Ram chip of 8GB today. Excellent results. Crucial board with Micron chip set. Installed 8GB in a Dell Inspiron 3670 that had existing 8GB from Dell manufacturing. The unit has an i3 8100. Basic chip but the 3670 can take 32GB of ram. Not a gamer so I will never need this. The task manager results show I now have 11GB available. Prior to the ram increase TM displayed only 3GB available. I did make an error on install and did not seat the ram chip all the way down this caused the amber power flashing light on the power button to blink. Grabbed a flashlight to inspect and found that the locks on either side had closed but the board still required an extra press in. Then the notches on the board ends were completely seated in the slot and no issues. Excellent buy this week as price is down to 36 bucks wow what a deal.
