Work great on Grand Marquis
These worked great on my 2007 Mercury Grand marquis. These would not fit a police version or a taxi version, keep in mind. BUY THIS VERSION IF YOU DON'T HAVE POLICE OR TAXI. They are easy to install as long as none of your bolts are seized, especially the one connecting your former strut tower to your lower control arm. I would recommend replacing a few other parts while you are there because you have to remove many things to get to these. I would also recommend put your three bolts in the top first and then line up the bottom hole. You could use a long screwdriver to straighten this piece if it is off center at all. As for the actual ride quality I can definitely see an improvement over stock. Or I should at least state, the original piece is almost 20 years old so I imagine anything new would be an improvements but these have worked great and it's been about a month. I would recommend.

PERFECT
My husband installed these on his parents 2005 Nissan Altima with a 2.5L. They were a perfect fit and easy to install. He highly recommends buying the camber adjustment bolt kit, since the front camber is non adjustable from the factory. He also installed Detroit axle inner and outer tie rod ends. With an alignment, the parts (both front struts and just the inner tie rod ends), and the labor the shop quoted over $900.00. He got all 4 tie rod ends, and both quick struts for just under $170.00. The shop installed the camber bolts which cost and extra $120.00 (RIP OFF), and aligned it. If he would have installed the camber bolts himself it would have only been another $30.00 out of their pocket. The shop charged $85.00 to remove and install 2 bolts. DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY THIS PRODUCT OR ANYTHING ELSE FROM DETROIT AXLE!!!!!

2019 Dodge Caravan GT
The reason why, I changed mine out if you're wondering, was because as I drive I hear this knocking sound coming from the driver side. Once I changed it and took it for a test drive it was smooth and the knocking sound aka rattling sound was gone. This went well and easy to install. When you put the new one in, you will have to turn it to the direction you want it (just a small adjustment) for the price it was awesome save me lots of money . Great quality as well. Took it for a test drive and it was smooth.

Good
08 gmc sierra 1500. Has level kit so it was difficult to apply to truck. Only gotten 1 on so far. Kinda intimidated to start the other side. But the new one seems to ride pretty good. Will know more once the other one is applied. It normally pretty easy job unless u have the level kit on truck. Then ur gonna have to squeeze this thing on there. I suggest using spring compressor. Or it will be a longer harder job. UPDATE... THEY ARE NOISY. THEY SQUEAK A GOOD BIT.

Fit my 2005 Explorer
I installed these on March 14, 2017. These fit fine, but only time will tell how well they hold up. If we encounter any issues with these struts, I will be sure to come back and edit this review to reflect that. The installation was on a 2005 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD 4.0L V6. The removal was easy - simply remove the top three nuts and then remove the bottom bolt. I also unhooked the upper ball joint to give me plenty of room. If you live in the rust belt like me, and these have never been changed before, you may be in for a battle. The removal of the bottom bolt, on the driver's side, was a BEAR. It was rusted/frozen inside the metal sleeve. So, when I turned the bolt, the sleeve turned with it inside the rubber. I ended up cutting the bolt with a cut off blade from below. The bolt was an M18-6g X 123. The bolt and the nut, bought from the local Ford dealer, cost me a little over $80. It would have been cheaper to order them from a Ford dealer online, but I needed it in a hurry. The bolts come standard in a 4 pack; but look around, and you can find an online dealer that sells them individually. These struts appeared to be a little longer than the 12 year old struts I removed - maybe it was because the old ones were shot - I don't know, I ended up needing to push the bottom control arm down a little bit more in order to install the bottom bolt, so I loosened the stabilizer link to the point where the nut was close to coming off. Then the bottom bolt was easy to install. So far, the Explorer rides fine, but as I said time will tell.

Junk
Left strut failed after 6 weeks. Contacted seller and was informed that I would have to pay for shipping for new strut and it would be $65 to warranty the single strut. I choose to purchase a different strut for less than shipping of the warranty replacement.

Worked great on a budget
Safety First, If you don't have the tools or patience then look for mechanic. But since i do, I watched some youtube videos on how to install these. With 112,000 miles, the originals where leaking and for a very bouncy ride. After the install, the ride was firm not harsh and yes the ride heigth at the front was raised up 1/2 an inch. Only time will tell. Just in case, im keeping the originals. If these fail then ill buy another brand using the OEM spring and strut mount. Worked great on a tight budget.
