Model: UHD1X4SA The build quality of this unit is awesome. The main reason that I bought this unit was to get Dolby Vision and sent it to my TLC R617 TV (TV have ARC and NOT eARC) using HDMI Out #1 and send uncompressed audio like Dolby True-HD and DTS HD-Master over HDMI Out #2 to my old Onkyo that dont support 4K passthrough and the inputs are HDMI 1.4. Initially I was getting HDR and Dolby TrueHD, but after to much trouble I manage to get Dolby Vision to work and Dolby True-HD sent to my Receiver. The problem is that I was getting too many audio drop-off and sometimes it would take a while to image show off on screen or to audio be sent to Receiver. It was very inconsistent and you pay for something expecting to work like is suppose. It worked but not as expected. Customer service was fantastic they did try to solve my problem, but I believe that the problems with this unit can be solve with a firmware update, but there was none on the web page. I did mention that to Customer support and they did not mention anything. I end up returning the unit.

I've been fighting a battle for quite awhile now to send a duplicate signal between our main 4K TV and a 1080P TV in a different room. For some sources it would work fine. For other sources, the video would be great but there would be no audio at all. For some other sources, I'd get no video or audio. This little box solved ALL of those issues. The setup on this splitter / extractor is very straight-forward, HOWEVER, be aware that Port 1 does not offer downscaling. I had our 1080P TV hooked up to Port 1 on the ViewHD Splitter and wasn't having any luck. I then switched to Port 2 and everything looked AND sounded perfect. I had initially missed the small print in the manual where it clearly states that Port 1 does not support downscaling. Had I seen that right away, the whole setup would have taken about 5 minutes. Because I missed that bit of information, the setup took me maybe 10 minutes total, even with my mistake of trying to use Port 1 at first. I am delighted with this little box and will likely purchase another for a similar setup at my son's house. Highly Recommended if you're trying to share a signal between a 4K TV and a second, lower resolution set.

does not work with elgato capture card

I bought this because I wanted to extract audio while also splitting an HDMI source to multiple devices. It works very well for that. The audio is perfect and the sound sync is flawless. Those are the two biggest things I was looking for. The build quality is very nice and the dip switches were relatively easy to understand. The only minor complaint I have is that when only one TV is on, it changes the device type to whatever that TV is. That could be a positive for other people though. It's a problem for me because of the delay in switching over when a device is turned on or off. My orei 1x4 hdmi splitter handles these scenarios a lot better, but doesn't have an audio extractor. I may ultimately stop using this and just get a separate audio extractor but I don't necessarily fault this product for not being able to completely meet my niche requirements.

This product is perfect for what I wanted in my setup. I have an HDMI Switcher for my consoles and this for connecting to different spec displays. Be aware that I only think this works with converting 4K down to 1080 but those are the only two kind of displays I have. This also helps me with streaming in the future more seamlessly because the PS5 uses HDCP as a whole for the consoles whether it’s the just the app itself or if it’s in the Home Screen, so now all I need to do is turn it on if I want to watch netflix or HBO Max and flip it off if I want to stream from the PS5 to my PC Elgato; the solution I use is that I have the 1st HDMI splitter port connected to my 4K display and a different one connected to the Elgato. If you do plan on getting this splitter be aware that converting HDR to a non HDR display from this splitter results in a fairly dim and washed out picture.

Easy to use, read the instructions for 2160p and 1080p screens setups, once you understand how the setup works, it works seamless. Have 4k max fire stick plugged directly into input and working on 3 screens seamlessly
