A Gemstone
Very nice product. Easy setup , machined parts are perfectly designed. Appreciated the effort and thought behind designing such a great product. Pays for itself !

Does not generate much electricity
The unit did not generate very much electricity at 15' even though there were sustained winds at over24 miles per hour. The company took back the unit and provided a full refund. The company was responsive and easy to work with.

A waste of money
This thing is trash. If you have money to spare, by all means buy this wind generator. Mine broke within the first year. The alternator shaft that connects the propeller broke and I have since removed it. The five fins and its nose cap assembly literally came flying off while spinning in the wind. It has a narrow wind speed of generation before it goes into an electrical breaking mode because of "high wind rpms" this was a waste of money.

Decent quality for cheap product. Check for cuts in wire...
Excited to use a combination of wind and sun, we ordered this product. No manual available online only the included paper. Initially noticed metal shavings in the paint job had me concerned. 3 (very short 4") red wires coming out of the bottom of the unit were slightly cut where it exits the base plate which would cause a short to ground. The plate has sharp edges and was not chamfered. I repaired by individual shrink tubing around each wire and one large heat shrink around the whole bundle where exits the base. The base plate (flange) bolt holes were too close to use with the 2" ridgid pipe so smaller stainless hardware was used. Supplied flange hardware is not stainless steel and will corrode. Charge controller had a bubble under the label but appears to be new. Wire leads were also very short 6" and are not replaceable as this unit is sealed. Vibrations are apparent but only at low speeds. Unit powered up and produced very low energy but did keep battery bank from depletion overnight which was the primary purpose for purchasing and installing. If this unit doesnt fail in 1 year or if it catches fire I will update again. Would recommend for the price to use at your own risk, check wires for damage and test continuity. And remember to make quality welds and protect with galvanized paint. Spent an additional $100.00 for 10' 2" ridgid pipe, strut, strut straps, and boot for roof penetration. Used PV wire and waterproof butt splices withan inline fuse holder.

INSTALLED ON SAILBOAT
Great product so far. I installed this on my sailboat at the very stern. I had the base welded to an iron pipe ($20 weld). I also added an additional 2" of fiberglass over the deck 12" around the base of the pole (4" total), then ran a single 8' iron pipe all the way through the deck, bolted through with top and bottom flanges. Then ran 4 guy wires from 6' up the pole to the deck. Once the pole was installed, installing the turbine was easy. I'm using the turbine to charge a 2-battery bank in parallel and a 3000W inverter. Consistent power draw with VHF's, stereo, bilge pumps, a 2.5 cubic ft fridge, phone chargers, etc.......is 200-300W. In 10MPH winds or higher, the turbine provides enough charge to maintain battery charge. Lower than that, I can cycle the inverter off and maintain. I intend to add 600W in solar panels to the turbine soon.

Good Hybrid Solution
I added this to my cabin's solar system to supplement the system at night when the wind might be blowing but the sun isn't a factor. Surprised at the sturdiness of product and it works well with minimal noise. Company's customer service is excellent in responding to questions; very helpful. When my central locking nut was compromised, they quickly sent me not one, but 6 replacements.

Works great with strong winds and 10gauge cables
I’ve been using mine for about three weeks now, no issues at all. Installation took me about an hour. Highly recommend using 10gauge cable at least until you get to the controller and battery bank, which are installed about ten feet away from the base of the pole, so I have like 30 to 35 feet of 10gauge cables. Mine is installed on a 22 feet tall steel pole. Where I’m at I got constant winds of about an average of 22mph and let me tell you this thing never stops. It doesn’t bring the rubber that goes between the base of the windmill and the pole. I made one out of an old bicycle tube. So far so good. No issues at all, great constant energy generation. My batteries are always between 12.7 to 13.2 volts. For now I have a set of two deep cycle batteries that produce about 60amps, I run two sets of lights that draw 27 watts/h for about 10 hours a day, a 12v pressure pump that runs for about 30 minutes daily and a 1000watt power inverter. My batteries are always over 75% charged. I’m giving just four stars because it didn’t bring the rubber for the base and I think that is something very simple to address so I hope they change that. Apart from that, I think this thing is great.

Very happy
So far it is working superbly, blades aren't extremely well balanced so you will definitely want guide wires even if its not very high. Charge controller works but the red "working" indicator doesn't blink although when tested I have good voltage charge my bank. I will probably buy one more of these, we get lots of wind where I live in alaska. It only took roughly 5 hours to install including time to weld the flange it came with to a nipple. I was able to do it all by myself as well so not extremely difficult. I would recommend getting an extra pair of hands, it would of been much easier.

15w @ 3 m/sec wind velocity
I will update further down and tell you about power production at various wind speeds. Let you know the actual. So, update, 25.6kmh wind is producing 67w. Correction 20 km/h consistently is 60w output.

Useless without high wind speed
Looks great but but but. No usable power without constant wind speeds over 50 km/hr waste of money and much time. Should have spent the money on more solar panels and batteries!!!

Easy to install.
The set up is simple especially with the right pole.
