WOLF TACTICAL Heavy Duty Hybrid Quick-Release EDC Belt - 2-Ply 1.5” CCW Gun Belt

Sharing my thoughts and opinion as I read a lot of varied reviews. Overall, I feel this belt is a good value for the cost and what I was searching for. I do have another more expensive very stiff belt but wanted some a little less stiff that I can change in and out quickly between jeans but still be rigid enough to hold my gear. People often hold up belts in the air and want them to retain the complete loop mid air, but unless you are putting a heavy rig, I don't have a need for that type of stiffness all the time. I did take this belt golfing with a piece on it and the buckle did come loose but I suspect I did not clip it in tightly after a restroom break, it has not happened again as I am more careful to make sure that the buckle is clipped all the way in. Overall, I would recommend for someone looking for a medium stiff belt that can hold at least one firearm and a few accessories. Forgot to add, I normally wear a size 33 waist and did end up returning the Med for Large so I can have more options in sizing. Hope that helps someone else.

I wanted a decent webbing belt that I could buckle/unbuckle instead of threading to take on/off, like other belts by Wolf Tactical (which are still great belts). This belt does the trick, with one wrinkle: you have to thread part of the buckle through your belt loops to put the belt on your pants/shorts. This would lead you to keep the belt on the pants you are using it with unless you need to swap them regularly. This is not a show-stopper, but more of a nuisance that is part of using this type of belt. The belt itself is pretty stiff, and I would say could be used for CCW (if that’s what you want it for). It looks good and does its job of keeping your pants in place too. The only other thing I have noticed is that sometimes (rarely) if you crouch down or get into a “crunch” position bent at the waist (like getting into your car) the buckle clasp may unlock. It doesn’t happen a lot, but again, can be annoying or a problem if you are carrying a lot of weight on the belt itself. A good belt for the money, but only 4 stars because of the two relatively minor nits.

At first I didn’t think I liked this belt iv had a few like it before but they cost 4x the money after wearing it about a month straight I realized this belt is exactly what I needed for a edc belt I love this belt at a great price I’ll be buying more don’t worry

I used this belt for 6 years. I wore it everyday. On several different pants through everyday and not so everyday situations. It saw me through the last 6 years of my life. Great belt 10/10 would recommend. Buying 2 more!

Good price, high quality & works great. Had it for a month so far, no issues. The hybrid buckle is nice for easy install and removal on regular jeans. Should last a long time.

Note the picture with the hand grasping the belt and the belt supporting its own weight, the belt I received will not even come close to doing that. I verified that I ordered, and received (per the packaging), a 2 ply belt, but I cannot tell that it is 2 ply, it appears to be one ply. If that is the case comparable belts can be bought here for half of this price. That's all to say on that subject. Something else to note, the belt I received does not match the images above in at least one way, the fixed side of the buckle is attached to the webbing/belt differently. I honestly don't see how it would make a noticeable difference in function either way, just pointing out that the photos used above do not completely reflect the product being shipped. I will say this positive thing about it, the male side of the buckle will pass thru the 1.5" belt loops on my cargo britches, but it is a bit of a chore. Haven't tried putting the belt on the pants before putting the pants on, yet, but maybe that would be easier? It's just a might difficult on those few loops behind because of the way the quick-release tabs stick out. Not nearly as difficult taking the belt back off but still requires a concerted effort to pass the buckle thru each loop. For what it is, it seems like it is decently built and the hardware seems sturdy enough, I am just a bit disappointed that it does not function as advertised. I am undecided on whether I'll return quite yet. I'm not big on sending stuff back as a general rule, but sometimes the differences in what's advertised and what's sold just warrants doing so. But honestly, I feel a bit duped on this one. on this order I also bought a dress belt, 1.5" black leather (NOT made in China), for literally half the price, and I bet it will make as good an EDC belt as this one. Yet another observation, I ordered the proper size for my 34" waist and it fits just fine, plenty of adjustment down, and a decent amount up. However, there is enough of the hook and loop material on the main body of the belt to wrap around to the center of my back that is not covered by the tag end which stops on my side.. I am not sure if sizing up would add the length on the body of the belt or the tag end. If added to the tag end then more of the belt would become true two ply (with hook and loop holding them together), meaning it would support more weight. Overall, I don't think I'd buy this belt again, but at the same time I'm not super disappointed with it either. Maybe the similar looking belts on here aren't as good as this one? Maybe they are? No way to know without ordering one, I guess. It shipped via amazon carrier next day, and arrived well packaged in good condition.

The title basically sums it up, couldn't ask for much more, especially for an EDC belt. The clasp works great, the mechanism is right when engaged and doesn't rattle or anything. The velcrow strap allows for a very wide range of precise sizing, so you aren't stuck choosing between two sizes that are either too big or too small. It's incredibly stiff in all the right ways, I could see someone ignorant to the needs of a carry belt saying it's too stiff making it somewhat difficult to size, but it's more than accommodating regarding sizing while axtia6lly being stiff enough to hold up weight all day while remaining comfortable. Once I got the size dialed in, I didn't have to pull my pants up once (I think we all know the dance of always having to readjust sagging pants with an unsatisfactory belt). Rarely if ever do I give anything 5 stars, but I'd say there's a 95% chance I buy another in the future when the need arises.
