Yes this is legit. Yes this is what the Finns use. However, installing this is the most frustrating thing I’ve done in my professional career. This stuff will rip if you look at it wrong. I considered just going without a vapor barrier. There were times where I considered knocking the whole sauna down. Have fun.

This has a paper backing. This is not what you want to use on a sauna. I have not idea what a sauna store would sell this ! You will have mold for sure

Great product for use as my vapor barrier on my 6'x8' home-built sauna. Easy to cut and apply. to my framing. What was best was the amount on the roll was perfect for my project.

Made an amazing fun sauna with this product, works just like any other but at a much better price point.

Hard to say if it will actually keep moisture out- I don't ever plan to have cause to find out if it worked. I can say that the material as both hard to work with because it likes to kink, and incredibly easy to puncture by accident, rendering it less a barrier and more a siv. All in all, it seems to have worked, but it wasn't exactly pleasant to work with. On the bright side, it was pretty easy to cut because of how thin it was.
