Artecho 28 Metallic Watercolor Paint Set, Glitter Colors, Semi-Moist Pearlescent Water color, Ideal for Beginners and Artists

I just received these and upon opening the package was worried they'd be cheap quality but these paints ARE GORGEOUS! I made swatches of all colors to see how it behaves with the water, how it dries, etc and these are beautiful, especially considering the amazing price. Im used to very nice watercolor paint and find these to be excellent! Gorgeous colors!

The quality and value for this set is amazing! There are so many colors that you may sit looking at them, trying to make a decision. This set has lots of pinks, red, and oranges. And the purples are great too! The consistency of these paints is nice...they are not chalky. Easy to use and easy to clean up. Be gentle on the case...the plastic can break easily. I don't necessarily care for the paint brushes. They are not that good but I am buying the paints not the brushes. Also for the price of this set you may just want to pick up 2.

This set of watercolors is pretty good. The color range is excellent, and each color is distinct enough that you won't need to mix colors very often. The pigment is fairly strong/dense. If you want a light wash, you'll need to have a lot of water on your brush, so you don't pick up much paint. (Or, paint quickly for the first 30 seconds or so, before water penetrates the cake.) The colors dry quickly on paper, and enough of the dye penetrates most papers within less than a second. So, if you lay down a color and don't like it, blot it up quickly. Even then, some stain may remain. The colors dry true to what you see on the tray. The included brushes are okay but not great. They're tiny, which can be ideal for touching-up fine details, but for most purposes, you'll need larger brushes as well. The tray is a little flimsy, and I'd like it if the cover could detach so I don't need as much surface to support the tray when I'm painting outdoors. Overall, I think this is an ideal set for beginners and to carry for travel. It's a good value and the color range is excellent.

These were great! Colors were great, had vibrancy and variety and worked as expected. I have used these with adults and children and both found them easy to use and pleased with the higher level of work they were able to create. Paint drying time was based more on the amount of water used but the colors dried very well and true to what was expected. The brush is very stiff and basic, we didn't use that at all. The only negative but for the amount of money, the purchase was still worth it. Would gladly purchase again.

I absolutely love this palette! In fact, I’ve recommended it to several fellow painters, and they’ve gone on to purchase it as well. The paint cakes are easy to access without accidentally picking up color from the neighboring pans, which makes painting much more convenient. The colors also have very decent saturation, producing vibrant results. Overall, a fantastic watercolor set that I’m very happy with and would definitely recommend.
