Why Did I Ever Stop Using Frownies? They Really Work!
I've been using Frownies on and off for many years, and I have to say—they really do work! I originally used them years ago, then stopped for some reason. Now I'm back to using them, this time more for my corners of the mouth and still for my forehead, and it made me wonder why I ever quit. With consistent use, they really do help train the facial muscles and soften expression lines. It's amazing to see the difference they make. I've always used warm water to activate the adhesive, and it works perfectly. In the past, I wore them overnight, although sometimes they'd become uncomfortable as they dried and I'd end up removing them during the night. These days, I wear them for about three hours, and that works great for me. The only thing I'd love to see improved is the packaging. I wish the patches came pre-cut and ready to use instead of having to tear them apart. It's not difficult, but I usually tear them all apart in one sitting so they're ready whenever I need them. The tiny pieces left over from tearing though can be a little messy and inconvenient. That small inconvenience certainly doesn't outweigh the results. Frownies have earned a permanent place in my skincare routine again, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a non-invasive way to help reduce the appearance of expression lines.

Smells horrible, pokes skin, and falls off
These really are horrible. Despite prepping my skin, wetting, and applying them exactly as directed, they either peeled up at the edges and eventually came off, or poked into the surrounding skin enough that I wound up removing them in my sleep because they were so irritating. I did not use any kind of cream or serum on my skin prior to use. To add insult to injury, the adhesive smells putrid. Even after removing them, my skin smelled terrible until I scrubbed the area where the patch was. It’s a promising concept, and I like that no harmful adhesives are used, but these need modifications before I’d try them again. I only used three, so I’m sad to be dumping a nearly full box in the garbage.

Effictiveness
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have heard alot of good things about this product. It works great. People commented about the smell, but I didn't really notice it too much and it didn't bother me. I put it on at night and the next morning it is smooth. It doesn't last all day and have only been using it for a few weeks, so we will see how it goes. Some didn't always stick, and sometimes I do get bothered using it every night. I think the reason they didn't stick was because I didn't wait long enough between moisturizing and putting them on. Effectiveness: Wrinkles gone in the morning, but doesn't last all day. I am using consistently hoping for more smooth skin.

Just ok!
Ehhh just ok.. wanted to try these forever..and decided to bite the bullet and order. I also ordered the forehead/ eye ones to get the best effect.. yes they smell but that's expected and not bad at all.. like adhesive on an envelope. I didn't find it difficult at all to apply..fitted the pieces I would need..wet finger and applied water to all pieces and then started placing. They did create a tight cast which I liked the feeling of and you definitely won't have any movement in them. Removal was easy..just wet and pull off.. I use face tape so I wanted another option to use to alternate. However for the price and the amount you need to create a full forehead cast it's just not worth it to me. Used a few times and now just sitting in my drawer which means not effective enough for me to want to reorder.

Bottom Line, they work.
I have been using these for two weeks now, so I can give a good review. Pros: The lines around my mouth and next to my eyes are diminished. I'm a side sleeper and I am getting creases against my eyes, despite using eye cream since my teens. After only two days of using these, those lines are gone. I Wore them every day for a week, but I am now using them every other day and trying to sleep train to sleep on my back. The lines around my lips are diminished as well, although since those are more caused by smiling than sleeping, I find I need to wear these every night to keep them at bay, but it has only been two weeks. The official site says it can take up to 3 months to work your way to not having to wear them every night, so I am not disappointed by this. They aren't actually terribly expensive, comparing them to eye creams and masks which don't actually net instant results the way these do. I also use retinol which can be drying and actually cause temporary wrinkles as it starts to work, so honestly these are much better in my opinion. Cons: They are a little hard to stick correctly. I use organic rose water spray I purchase at a health food store (cheaper) and it's hard to get the sticky side just the right amount of wet so that they stick well and aren't soggy, but also are pliable enough to curve with your face. They don't stick if you have greasy facial oil on, which around my eyes is a bit annoying, because I usually "lock in" my eye cream with jojoba oil over night. So I worry I'm forgoing extra needed moisture for these. In the morning, I have to lie in bed for 5 minutes with a wet washcloth over my eyes to loosen them up so I do not rip them off and cause damage. For me, I have the time if I wake up a bit earlier and it's pleasant to lie there with my eyes covered, listening to a morning meditation or music, but if you are stressed for time in the morning, you will find this impossible. If you live with a partner and are easily embarrassed, there is no concealing that you are wearing big brown patches of paper on your face. I can see why people might not want to try them. They don't do anything for under eye wrinkles, but I have no idea what does. So, as you can see, there are technically more cons than pros, which is why I gave them 4 stars, but since the pro is that they work, I think the minimal cons are well worth it if you really want to prevent/reverse wrinkles without surgery.

Great little postage stamps that stop wrinkles
Not sure why all the hate. They don’t smell any worse than a postage stamp did back when you had to lick them, these are basically postage stamps. And if you remember having to lick stamps, then you’re probably using Frownies. You need to use these every night to see results. It’s a commitment. If you don’t want to do that, get Botox. I currently get Dysport and started using Frownies for two reasons 1. A friend I trust began using them with great results 2. Covid hit and I couldn’t see my injector. Frownies helped me stretch my Dysport results until I could get back in. Now I use them to stretch out my appts or when I’m trying to save money. I don’t get the eyebrow lift I get from Dysport/botox but it helps reduce my forehead wrinkles and 11’s if I do the full Wonder Woman method. I do my nightly routine, let my products sink into my skin about 10 min per the Frownies instructions. Then I wet my finger a little with water and slide it over my already torn out Frownie and wait for it to curl up before applying. After my forehead is covered, I use Trader Joe’s rose water spray over the whole thing and pat it down. You don’t need Frownies rose water spray. They peel off much easier in the morning with product underneath than going in dry. I’ve tried going in without product and peeling off the next day hurts. I’ve also tried putting on frownies (just a few, not a full crown), immediately after face product and letting the product be wet enough to act as water to activate the glue. It’s worked fine too. You just have to figure what works for you and if this is worth it to you. Most of the time, honestly, it’s not worth it to me and I’d rather just get Dysport. But when money is tight, it’s worth the nightly commitment. Every other night works too if I’m alternating a retinoid product. Do not use it the same night as a retinoid. Do one or the other or risk peeling your skin off. Also didn’t know people were reusing their peeled off mask crown thing for a second use. I might try that!!

The Frownies DO Work
I have used Frownies for years and they have held back the marching of the years between my eyebrows...NOT disappointed at all especially since the frown line on my forehead is still the same as it was when i first noticed it and got these stickers...i use them every night. They are worth it to me!

Not worth the time or money
I tried these as an alternative to Botox for fine lines on my forehead and in between my brows. I tried this version and the other shape that is available by this company for at least three months and did use them nightly. The product was difficult to apply as I could not fully moisturize my face the way I prefer to before applying the product. If I used too much moisturizer, the pieces of paper would not stick to my forehead. The product was essentially craft paper that was sticky on one side and it did not smell good. The edges or corners tended to resist sticking to my face regardless of how long I held them to my face. I would wear this overnight and would wake up in the morning with slight improvements on my fine lines. The improvements would not last, and the lines would be present again by the end of the day. There was no general improvement in the final lines of my face over time through the three month period. I’m looking into other options, but this one was not it.

Old and Stuck
It was not good at all. the patches were all stuck to each other and it looked like a very old product which was not very well stored. We have bought it before from other sites and always had a good product. this was very bad.

frownies
I've rated these before but just to reiterate. These are excellent if used properly. They save the expence of botex, which is a poison. If used for 7 hours a night which is the minimum time for the muscles in the face to relax, they will eventually lessen the effects of wrinkling. However you will need to keep up treatment as the effects take a little time. Eventually you can decrease application but l advise not stopping use altogether. I only use a little water rubbed on with my finger. Massage the area of application with your finger to relax the muscle. I apply to dry skin as l think the frownie adheres better. Trial perceiverence are the keywords!
