Snappy White Cheddar Cheese Popcorn Seasoning, 12 oz, Distinctive Creamy Flavor Shaker, No MSG Added

We eat a lot of flavored popcorn, Flavacol (movie theater taste), caramel (from Gold Medal on Amazon), garlic parmesan, kettle popcorn (both made from household ingredients) and some other flavors. This Snappy White Cheddar flavor is a top choice in our house. One son will eat only this one and we keep 3 large Christmas popcorn tins filled with 3 different flavors all the time. White Cheddar flavor is always in one of the tins. This product is well packaged, tastes great, very easy to make, and came quickly, fresh and excellent quality. We buy this Snappy product routinely.

Perfect backup for the Urban Accents. I was hesitant at first but it was cheaper to get this than the smaller bottles. I am on my second bottle since I use it so often.

I wasn't quite sure what to make of the mixed reviews about this brand. Now trying the seasoning, I can see why some people love it and some people are disappointed. However, I was buying jumbo bags of white cheddar popcorn and annihilating them. Even worse, my dog was smacking her crate out of the way and almost lifting my desk if she spied even one spilled kernel under either usual falling spot. (Plain popcorn apparently doesn't compare, but store-bought white cheddar popcorn isn't pet-friendly regardless of what my dog thinks.) So I decide to try the seasoning on its own after I was flying through store-bought bags in a couple of days. Snappy White Cheddar Cheese Popcorn Seasoning is tricky. I made the mistake of trying to shake it onto Lesser Evil Himalayan Gold Organic Popcorn. This is NOT the kind of seasoning that is powerful enough to blend flavors. Only use it on plain popcorn because any other flavor will overpower the white cheddar seasoning. I could barely taste it when I tried sprinkling it on air-popped popcorn. With nutritional yeast, another one of my favorites, I could sprinkle a teaspoon and immediately taste it. At one point, I tasted the seasoning on its own so I knew what it was supposed to taste like. Even a fingerprint of it is weak. Turn it to the pouring side and shake away. When you start liberally shaking it into the bowl, your popcorn can absorb more of it. Once that happens, it's pretty good. I think those who don't like the popcorn seasoning are approaching it the same way you would with recipes. They think you can shake it a couple of times like pepper or salt, and all the flavors will be prominent. Not so much. Get in the habit of humming Andre 3000 "shake it like a Polaroid picture" or Tina Turner's "Shake a Tailfeather." That's the best way to enjoy this. However, if you have a microwave air popper like me, the serving size (three teaspoons) gets tricky. If you don't pop enough popcorn and want a refill, you SHOULD NEVER keep this seasoning in the microwaveable bowl, even if you add more margarine or butter. The seasoning will stick to the bottom and harden up. You must spoon out or shake the remaining seasoning into a separate bowl. You can re-shake it instead of adding more once the second round of popcorn is ready, but you will have a burnt-bottom bowl on your hands if you don't remove the seasoning pre-heat.

Very frustrating at how hard it gets so fast!! Flavor is good but the rocks in the jar cancels out the flavor. I an NEVER buying this again.

I like the container that just comes in it sprinkles nicely over your popcorn

The flavor is wonderful. The size of the tub is great, especially when compared to the small bottles of flavored popcorn sprinkles that are out there. Everything is wonderful about this except for one flaw in the bottle lid design (while it does have a half side that opens for a sprinkle option - the holes are too small and it gets blocked by the thick powder). I just remove the lid and generously sprinkle over the popcorn. Mix the popcorn well, add some orange cheddar sprinkle as well and viola~. You have the perfect cheesy snack (I use it over kettle corn and the sweet/salty/cheesy is the best combo I've found! :)

I eat popcorn every day, so go through popcorn seasoning very quickly. I was always searching for BOGOs and sales to help defray the cost. White cheddar is my go-to flavor and I've used a couple of the typical brands. I'm very happy with the Snappy white cheddar flavor in comparison--it might be a little less salty--and am thrilled to buy it in a larger quantity for a more reasonable price. The bottle is a good size for my spice cabinet and is handy to hold. I find the product shakes out better if I tap on the bottom of the bottle while dispensing. So far, the steam of the popcorn has not created any clumping of the product in the bottle. I will definitely continue buying this.
