Phone Light Flasher & Ringer (1)

I had bought a vintage style phone for the louder ringer but it wasn't enough for my elderly mother who is hard of hearing. She tended to ignore it and said she couldn't hear it that well at all. I just plugged in this little gadget yesterday and what a difference it has made. I am hoping that this will solve the problem permanently. Such a simple thing but, boy, it really has gotten my mother's attention with every call. I tested it by calling her several times over. And she picked up the phone right away. Nothing like a loud loud sound and flashing light. Perfect, thanks!

Very loud, light is bright

Cord is very short. However, the volume and flashing light do draw the attention of my almost deaf family member. We added a longer cord with a connector.

I bought this item for my mother, who is hard of hearing. It is super easy to set up. All you need to do is plug it into the phone line, either between the phone and the jack, or with a splitter. That's it. This item rings loud. I would describe it as a very meaty ring. If your hearing is good, it's so loud it will put a shiver into you when it rings. If you are hard of hearing, you'll say, "Oh, the phone is ringing, I had better answer it." Plus, if the ring doesn't make a dent, it flashes when the phone rings. I'm very happy with it. Before I bought this, it was always a crapshoot if my Mother would answer the phone if I called her. Now she can hear the phone ring and know to answer it.

We ordered one of these for my parents who sometimes don't realize the phone is ringing. The flashing light is very helpful. Inexpensive; simple to set up. Because of where the jack is in their house, it was initially over to the side of the room, so they didn't always notice. We used a longer telephone cable (doesn't everyone have extras from long ago in the back of junk drawers?) and positioned just in front/below their TV. Now it's directly in their field of vision.

My mom loved this because it rang loud and she could finally hear her phone ring BUT it stopped working 3 weeks after we installed it. VERY, VERY disappointed. We threw the box away or I would have tried to return it. I’m purchasing another one because my mom isn’t understanding that it can’t be replaced for a functional ringer. I will keep the box though and this will be the last time I spend a dime on a product from this company.
